Excellent Gift For A Wine Enthusiast ...especially if they like the reds. As you will note from the other reviews here, the Vinturi Essential Wine Aerator really does what it claims, and does it well. The purveyors at my local liquor store were showcasing this little device and I was surprised when I could actually tell the difference. It reallyopens of the flavor of a wine, giving it a better mouth feel and brings out the aromas. It also give the wine a smoother finish, particularly with tannic reds.
It would have garnered five stars from me but for some niggles. You have to be careful when pouring to do so at the proper rate to keep it full but not overflowing, allowing it to do it's magic. It also drips a bit after pouring so it and its little stand need cleaning afterwards. No biggie though. At $40 it isn't cheap, but just from holding it you can tell it is a quality product, and with this sleek little gadget, you won't need to decant your wine ever again.

Blows Unpopped Kernels Out I ordered this based on the claims that it leaves virtually no unpopped kernels. Well, it blows quite a few out. I returned it. I did try the instructions in the most helpful review and I still got unpopped kernels. If I use the large, expensive, gourmet kernels, and hold and tilt the popper back while it's on, it does pop more of the kernels. But, that's a pain, and the unpopped kernels start flying at the end of the popping, when there aren't as many popped kernels to keep them from flying out.
Also, why does this popper shoot air up from the bottom - which makes the kernels more likely to fly out - instead of having the air come in from the side, as other air poppers do?
I'm going to try buy an old black & decker model on Ebay where the kernels pop in a container with slots that keep the kernels from flying out. PS. I bid a lot on one auction that ends dec - 21.

Couldn't wait for it... Dissappointed! Let me start off by saying I am just a fan of GNR and not a die hard fan of them. I was however really excited to see this album coming out. I had hear the title track on the radio and loved it. It was a great song considering the only original member of the band is Axel Rose.
Alex by the way does sound just like he did way back when and still rocks. He has a gift when it comes to music and I am glad it has not faded with time.
I had read a few reviews and it stared out not favorable. One said before you buy listen to it on Myspace. I was soglad I did. The only really good track on the album was Chinese Democracy and it was not what I was expecting. Needles to say I didn't buy it and just down loaded the one song from Itunes. Before I get hate comments from the die hard fans I am not panning the album at all. It was just not for me. So anyone who is just a fan and enjoys the more popular songs this album is not for you, it wasn't for me. For those that love it and listen to it constantly I am glad for you. I only wish I felt the same way. I am glad I didn't buy it and quite disappointed that this was the album nearly 15 years in waiting. The hype got me all built up and in the end the album crashed a burned for me.

It goes a little like this: Young Sophie is getting married and she's trying to identify which of three men is her father. That's about it. Wisely, the musical doesn't mess around with the songs, save for the insertion of some dialogue or for having some of them performed by a man (it works amazingly well). Abba fans will jump on this import of the London production, but traditional fans of musical theater should consider it as well. Alice (voiced by Kathryn Beaumont) has all the anticipated experiences: shrinking and growing, meeting the White Rabbit, having tea with the Mad Hatter, etc. Characterization is very strong, and the Disney team worked hard to bring screen personality to Carroll's eccentric creations. Great Heater, but too stinky... I bought this heater last month to act as a supplemental heater for the living room and to heat a 12x15' bedroom at night. I will start off by saying that the comfort temp setting works great. The room heated up to a temperature that was cozy, but not too hot or too cold. A good sleeping temp.
One of the biggest problems I had with the heater was the lack of a thermostat. I like to set the temperature in a room and leave and not worry that it will keep on heating past a certain temp. The comfort temp control does this, however, as a supplemental heater, I found it annoying that I wasn't able to set it to a certain temperature. My other heaters have digital thermostats (maybe I am spoiled by them?)
My greatest concern was with the oil smell the heater gave off. I figured after a while it would go away, however, after a week of use it still filled the bedroom and the living room with the smell of oil, something like a diesel truck. My wife said it gave her a headache, so we returned it. I have read that this might have resulted from the unit being set on high heat, and while I had it set on the comfort temp at the highest setting, I think it isn't acceptable to smell on a normal setting.
