The Best in Its class! Redguard Successfully mixes action and adventure elements to create an elder scrolls environment that is awesome. It offers agreat cast of characters, great story, puzzles, and action. I recommend this to people who don't even like adventure or action. An all around awesome game!

good add-on to Oblivion I decided to get the combination with all the downloads because from Amazon it was cheaper than getting direct from their website. Some of the add-on's are pretty hokey like the horse armor. Not sure that is worth it except if you like the graphic apearance. I haven't gone through the Knights of the Nine portion yet. That will wait for a later point in the game as it is its own quest on top of the ones you get in the game. I love the wizards tower. That is a must for anyone playing a spellcaster of any sort.

Still a fun potentially anarchic classic, after all these years So...you've taken the nth run-through of Oblivion and are thinking how wonderful it is to play in a sandbox? Black Isle originally perfected this style of gaming many years ago in Fallout.
What made the Fallout games unique were not just its post-apocalyptic setting, but its character creation scheme - called S.P.E.C.I.A.L (Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Ability and Luck). You get some totally hilarious perks - my favourite is Bloody Mess. I have many fond memories of scoring a critical hit with my sniper rifle and watching my target's head disintegrate in a glorious explosion of blood and gore.
My favourite aspect of the game (IMHO) were the incredibly strong storylines. "War...war never changes...". It's a powerful and evocative opening line. Junktown and Necropolis in Fallout 1. San Franciso in Fallout 2. Each and every city in both games had unique identities, and the stories, quests and characters developed naturally from those environments.
So if you see these wonderful games on your local game store shelf - for goodness sake, do yourself a favour and buy it now. They really don't make 'em like this anymore, and you'll be rewarded with a great gaming experience for a great price. You won't regret it.

All in all I myself have never played the first fallout games but im no stranger to the story. If i were to rate the realation between 3 and 1,2 other than the titles theres not a whole lot , But dont let that discourage you if i were to explain that in word it would be [evolution] and in a positive manner. Forthose new to fallout more so than me its a great game and just because its an open world RPG does not make it oblivion with guns.
