A Little Confusing, But... (A Guide To Using This DVD)
This DVD can be a little hard to use, especially trying to find the alternate versions of the videos. Here is how, what they are called, and how they differ. Once the DVD gets to the main menu, choose "Alt. View." The screen changes and here you access the different videos. Below is the listing and what they are:

*My Prerogative (Dimentional Edit){a.k.a. Digital View} = the beginning has some additional footage of people at the party. In the video, there are 2 different "clips" you can watch. One clip is some additional black and white footage of her on the bed. The second "clip" is photos of her and other guests at the party. Also look for the astronaut from the "Oops!...I Did It Again" video. Access these features by pressing Enter on your remote when the word ENTER appears on your tv screen.

*Outrageous (Takes) = Unused footage from the "Outrageous" video. Her most infamous video due to the fact that it was never completed. Shortly after the shoot began, Britney injured her knee. After she healed, it was never finished. And yes, that IS Snoop Dogg. And NO, that is NOT Britney at the end.

*Everytime (Angle Two) = When this video starts, LET IT PLAY. Hitting ENTER will only let you see how the video originally aired. This version is footage of outtakes, false starts, etc. The majority of it is Britney standing in front of us, singing.

*Toxic (Karaoke) = Take a guess what this is, lol. It is the video with the words on the screen. Sort of. It is a version of the "Toxic" video never seen. It is mainly Britney dancing around with those diamonds glued onto her body. Also, the singing has been totally removed, so it is just the music. I must say it is VERY COOL to see this version. She looks so good with the fan blowing her hair all over as she dances. You can hit ENTER on your remote during the video to turn the singing on if you like, hit ENTER again to turn it back off. WARNING: turning the singing on and off causes the video to start back at the beginning. I recommend watching it twice, once with the singing off, then again with the singing on. Also, some of the words are mis-spelled. "Your" is used when "you're" is the correct version.

*I'm A Slave For You (Uncut) {a.k.a. Accapella} = More bonus footage not used in the original version. On the plus side, it means more male nipples. Hitting ENTER shows you even more bonus footage. I suggest watching it twice. The first time, let it play. The second time, hit ENTER on your remote. I had a hard time using this video, especially when I hit the ANGLE button on my remote, took me to all kinds of weird shots. I eventually got irritated with all the bonus footage and stopped trying to find it all in this video.

*Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know (DLMBTLTK Outtakes) = Not sure what this was. It appeared to be outtakes set to a remix/instrumental version of the song. Also mixed in are clips of other videos. THE MOST BIZARRE version of one of her videos yet. Also very short, less than 2 minutes long.

*Stronger (Outtakes) = You guessed it... A neat little surprise it the home video footage of Britney when she was younger mixed in. It is also like a remix of 'Stronger.' Also less than 2 minutes long.

*Oops!...I Did It Again (Uncuts) = The original video with the begging trip to space removed. Instead, the whole video is Britney in front of us, singing and dancing in that red outfit. At the end, hit ENTER to see more outtakes. Britney does some funny stuff on the outtakes. It ends abruptly.

*You Drive Me Crazy (Mix) = Not sure how to explain this version. I guess it is the same video playing at different times on the same screen?? Also includes outtakes. LESS THAN ONE MINUTE LONG!!

*...Baby, One More Time (Uncut) = Hitting ENTER when the word ENTER is on the screen takes you to the alternate version. Nothing special, just some outtakes. And we see that that really IS Britney doing a back-flip.

OVERALL = Disappointed with this DVD, it sounds much better than it really is. The menus are hard to use, and the box makes it sound like there are hours of bonus footage. That is a lie. The alternate versions of the videos are much shorter. I could have arranged this DVD in an easy-to-use format. All this bonus footage to the videos could have been done in a better way.

Britney Spears - Live from Las Vegas

Lowest Price we can find: $11.69

Amazon.comWith a November 2001 Las Vegas performance that became an HBO special, Britney Spears headlines a visual spectacle that surpasses even Vegas's stage shows. From the opening "Oops! I Did It Again" to the closing "I'm a Slave 4 U," Spears and her dance troupe athletically romp through a live, life-size, 90-minute music video. There's no musical emphasis (usually the original recordings play while Spears nominally pays attention to what she's supposed to be singing), but that's not the point.

Soft-spoken offstage, Spears becomes someone elseentirely in front of an audience: numerous costume changes, a plethora of filmed footage, awesome acrobatics, and a gigantic stage set create the ultimate triumph of visuals over music. During the encore, "Baby One More Time," rain drenches Spears, giving a born entertainer one final opportunity to leave her fans awestruck. The concert was broadcast live to four military bases, and Spears acknowledges the soldiers' service in the wake of the September 11 terrorist attacks. --Kevin Filipski

Very Good Concert!
This DVD is actually pretty good. It has the links to either watch the full show or to watch each performance separately.

Britney Spears gives a really good show in this HBO live from Las Vegas presentation. Her songs are very catchy and the cameras are very good on following her and catching good close ups to Britney and her dancers.

This DVD has a really cool beginning, as well as a fun little band video. Britney and her team really ran the extra mile with this concert as it's really entertaining. It has really good choreographed dances, as well as special effects, and lots of costume changes. Also you get to see at least one Elvis there in the mix.

While the show starts with fire explosions and very high teck looking. It ends really cool with rain and a very nice sensual "baby one more time" that I kind of like better than the original one.

It's a fun concert, didn't find any mistakes on this one, defiantly one of Britney's greatest concerts or her time.

Britney Spears - In the Zone (DVD with Bonus CD)

Amazon.comBritney Spears: In the Zone is a busy batch of Britney-mania, much of it featuring Spears in crisp dance numbers supplemented by behind-the-scenes glimpses and chatter. The heart of this DVD is an ABC television special featuring toned-down but still sexy performances of "Toxic," "Breathe on Me," and "I'm a Slave 4 U." A fun highlight is Spears's hip-hop collaboration with the Ying Yang Twins on "(I Got That) Boom Boom," one of the few numbers in the star's stage repertoire with a little room for spontaneity. Between songs one finds Spears gushing over her grandfather, praising her entourage, describing the emotional toll of being in the public eye, and, most interestingly, talking a little about writing songs. Also included here is footage from Spears's Times Square performance on MTV, a couple of videos and related featurettes, and a CD including alternative mixes of "Toxic" and "Me Against the Music." --Tom Keogh

Just okay
I'm not a big fan of Britney Spears, but I thought it was neat how she performs some of her songs, and how it shows behind the scenes of her video's, interviews, etc. This D.V.D. is fun for young kids, or anyone that enjoys her music.

Amazon.comAt 30 minutes, Britney: The Videos is even shorter than Britney's outfits! It has only four videos and is padded with one live performance, two commercials, and a featurette about her first starring role, in the movie Crossroads. Her fans won't mind, of course. The videos for "Don't Let Me Be the Last to Know," "I'm a Slave 4 U," and "I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman" show the star is a born performer, while "Overprotected" features Crossroads outtakes as Spears lip-synchs in character from that movie. Also included is the eye-opening performance of "Slave" from the 2001 MTV Video Awards (complete with live snake), her "Joy of Pepsi" commercial, a teaser for Spears's HBO special from Las Vegas, and a glimpse at a Vogue magazine photo shoot to the strains of the song "Anticipating." Spears's cover of "I Love Rock 'n' Roll" is heard during DVD chapter breaks. --Kevin Filipski

I expected more from Britney: The Videos
The title itself is misleading but overall, Britney: The Videos is a short, not-that-great DVD release to satisfy Britney's fans, such and me. Though I did enjoy the videos I thought the HBO section would be the entire concert, so I didn't purchase Britney Live in Las Vegas on DVD. Don't buy this DVD unless you are a Brit fan! 3 out of 5 stars because it's misleading, and mediocre satisfaction.

You will notice that the picture is not as sharp, but it's the difference between DVD, and the LaserDisc or SuperVHS that was sent to the TV networks originally. Amazon.comPop idol Britney Spears stars in this sweet coming-of-age movie about three childhood friends who've grown apart, but find out they may still have a lot in common. After graduating from high school, Lucy (Spears), Kit (Zoe Saldana), and Mimi (Taryn Manning) decide to takea road trip to L.A. to audition for a record label. Along the way, there's a lot of heartbreak and female bonding (not to mention a lot of midriff-baring--in her first scene, Spears jumps on her bed in her underwear, singing along to a Madonna song), as each of the three girls learns more about herself and life. Crossroads could have been trite schmaltz, but the script has some grit and the direction is fresh and relaxed--and, most significantly, Spears is far more sympathetic and engaging than you might expect. Also featuring Dan Aykroyd and Kim Cattrall. --Bret Fetzer

Crossroads : An Appreciation
Recentlyre watched this film after my initial viewing many years ago, my how things have changed. Not just in terms of the life of its star Britney Spears but also for the scriptwriter of this film. Before Shonda Rhimes created Grey's Anatomy she wrote this girl empowerment film that is a testament to renewing and strengthening one's friendships. One thing that has not changed since my initial viewing of the film however is the power of the film and its performances. I speak of the moment when Spears's' character Lucy is sitting on her bed after accepting her diploma as school valedictorian and asking through her tears of her father (Dan Akroyd) " Is that all there is?" We've all been there asking that question. Lucy is looking for a lot of things in her life right now mainly a purpose, a sense of adventure, and some friends. Her best friends since childhood Mimi (Taryn Manning) and Kit (Zoe Saldana) have abandoned her since she is viewed as too sweet and innocent and therefore not part of their fast living scene. Kit is engaged to a shady college guy who her only contact with is over the phone, and Mimi is pregnant and keeping mum about the father. It is on the final night of school that they reunite and dig up a box that they buried as youngsters and filled with personal mementos. They decide to take a road trip since Mimi is going to pursue her dream of becoming a singer they are going to head out to California for an audition where Lucy and Kit will be her backup singers. They are being transported by Ben (Anson Mount) a handsome young man with a criminal record, rumored to have killed a man. Initially the girls fear for their life being driven across state lines with a possible man slaughterer but soon learn that his arrest and incarceration was to protect an abused stepsister and as such the girls can all regard him as a sweet and misunderstood man. Each girl is on a quest: Mimi fame and fortune to raise her little one, Kit to reunite with her man and plan their epic wedding, and Lucy wants to find her mother who walked out on her and her father when Lucy was very young. Do the girls achieve their dreams and end up becoming friends again? As we learn with this film that is not important but rather the journey that each of these girls go on is what is most important. The things they learn about themselves and each other is what is going to affect them forthe rest of their lives. Now on a serious note I know as a viewer you are supposed to be able to draw the line between the actor and the character they play but watching Lucy in a scene in a bar where she has just won a karaoke contest in no small part thanks to skimpy outfits and sexy dance moves argue with Ben because she wants to stay out and party more and the next morning complains of a hangover I thought is this Britney? Also worth noting is that Spear's younger sister Jamie Lynne plays the young Lucy in the film's opening moments and many people would say that she is more like her sister now more than ever since just like Mimi in the film she is very young and pregnant. If nothing else this film belongs in a time capsule like the one the girls bury and reopen through the course of the film for all of us to remember a simpler time when Britney Spears was the biggest pop star in the world who still had her looks and unlimited potential. For eighty eight minutes through this film we can live in that world again.

Mickey Mouse Club - The Best of Britney, Justin & Christina
Price: Check Pricing & Availability
Lowest Price we can find: $10.00

Amazon.comFirst, a caveat: this 88-minute nostalgic romp through Mickey Mouse Club history is not The Best of Britney, Justin & Christina, but rather a compilation of four complete MMC episodes from Season Six with only minor appearances (a few songs and hometown profiles) by the namesake superstars. While the title’s misrepresentation is disappointing (and suggests some exploitive marketing by Disney), the DVD, nonetheless, oozes with talent from the cast of all 20 mouseketeers, including lesser-known stars who were hugely popular during the show’s run (‘89-’94) such as Keri Russell, JC Chasez, and Ryan Gosling. These particular episodes were selected because they happen to include two-minute profiles of Britney Spears, who takes viewers back to her hometown in Louisiana; Justin Timberlake, as he impersonates Elvis at Graceland; and Christina Aguilera who bakes brownies and shows viewers a scrapbook of her childhood. Two live concert performances spotlight Aguilera belting, "I Have Nothing," and a song and dance routine with Spears and Timberlake singing, "I Feel for You." Other program highlights include the cheesy but engaging game show, "Everybody’s a Winner," and a hilarious series of skits with Russell. A segment on teen suicide and depression was an odd choice to include in this otherwise upbeat program. Fans can keep their fingers crossed that Disney will release each MMC season in its entirety on DVD, named accordingly. (Ages 8 to 14) --Lynn Gibson

what the heck is this....
uhmmm first of all, why is it just about three of them??? there's kerry russel , and Jc chasez on there also that's kind of wrong....the only talent on there is christina and the other two can't sing...but they can sure dance...wow wut a skill.

Featuring race and archive footage courtest of private collectors from around the world, this documentary provides a fascinating insight into Britney's remarkable career.

ugh...how disappointing...
I do have to say when i read the review of the person who posted before me, i was extremely skeptical, being how much i love britney . i didn't think anything about brit could be that bad and then i got this DVD and it really is terrible! you honestly could make a better home video. i guess this because it was an unauthorized attempt at a documentary. all they do is interview these 3 boring british people and have terrible, lame video footage. its obvious why britney spears would never produce a movie this crappy. better off buying another britney movie.
