Editorial ReviewThe aMAZEing Labyrinth uses a clever board design to create a series of ever-changing mazes that one to four players must move through. The object of the game is for each player to collect as quickly as possible all seven treasures depicted on their individual treasure cards. To add to the challenge, players know what the next treasure is only after they find the one before it. Before each turn, a maze card is pushed into the maze in a strategic place, helping the player make his or her way to the prize. This means that the entire maze shifts and changes on each turn, confounding some and helping others. Players will need to think ahead to choose just the right spot to shift the maze in their favor. This is an excellent game to get lost in. A simpler version can be played by younger children. --Lee Strucker

Great game! We got this game as a gift when I was a kid, and we still play it when we're all home for the holidays. It's got a good combo of strategy and luck, that every game is fun. We added a rule, that once you've gotten all your cards, you have to make it back to your start. The game turns into all-defense. This game is totally overlooked. It's a classic at our house!
To set up the game, snap one treasure into the bottom of each tree and place the trees where indicated on the game board. Choose your playing piece and place in near the village on the game board, which serves as the starting area. The king's castle reveals the treasures you must search for throughout the forest. Roll the die to determine the distance you move, making your ways to the trees to see what treasures are hidden under them. When you reach a tree, you can look under it, making sure the other players don't see what you've found. Once you've found the treasure the king has requested, make your way to the castle so that you can announce where it is. If you're right, you continue on your journey for the next treasure. If you're wrong, you must go all the way back to the village and start over. The first player to correctly announce the location of three treasures wins.

Great Game Board This is one of the best game boards that I've ever bought for my son and I bought a lot of them. He wasn't as thrilled as with this game. He just loves searching for the treasure on the enchanted forest and try to outsmart me and others. We could literally play with him for hours. By the way, my son is only [...]. I would recommendthis toy to all the parents who is looking for a great game board for your kids.
Thanks a lot to the company who invented this idea!
Editorial ReviewBuilding roads, railroads, and waterways is the object of this cooperative picture-matching game. The 2-inch square tiles have illustrations of the above printed on one side with some railroad stations and harbors, too. Each player draws 10 tiles and setsabout matching river to river, road to road and rail to rail. The first to use up all their tiles wins. But this nonreading game is really about cooperation. The different paths and combinations create so many different possibilities that no two paths are alike. --Lynne Sampson

Fantastic family game This is a beautiful and fun matching game that you can play competitively or cooperatively. The whole family can work together to assemble the pieces into a coherent whole, like a jigsaw puzzle but without the tedium. Or you can take turns placing the pieces onto a single structure as per the rules. Our 4 year old loves the game and he loves the art work, as do his 4 year old friends.
