LostJohnny MUST OWN This game is highly customizable. You can customize your background, psychological profile, and most notably, your appearance.
Playing around with the various sliders in the appearance creation is so deep, you could spend hours messing around with that feature alone!
The gameplay is awesome. It uses a 3rd person perspective, and plays like a 3rd person shooter, HOWEVER, you must open up menus mid-battle to select abilities that you can aim towards one enemy or more (with your squad). It definitely require brain-power and strategy during firefights. All of your weapons and upgrades make a big difference in battle, so you must be aware of all your items, and what would be most useful with what enemy type.
The story is quite epic (and awesome). Your choices in dialog affect certain (not all) situations. There are 2 mission types: story, and side missions. The missions for the story are much longer, yet there are few of them, maybe 5. You can get through the main story in one weekend, but you need to do the side-missions to level up, and there's TONS of those.
The missions are varied, though the indoor environments are not. This isn't really a big deal because it's still tons of fun to play. My first playthrough clocked in at 39 hours, and that was with 99% completion of all missions.
If you own a 360, you like RPGs (NOT turn-based), and sci-fi interests you, then you MUST MUST MUST MUST MUST own this game.
B. B. Keay This book is not good Ways of Reading is the textbook for the Freshman English class I am in. I generally enjoy English classes because they are usually a chance to discuss things and talk about differing opinions. Well, that's not the case with this book. Every essay in this book is by some radical leftist. The "varying perspectives" talked about in the other reviews are simply the different perspectives of a lesbian feminist and a Brazilian communist, not actual differences in their beliefs. This book is basically a leftist handbook meant to tell the "proper opinion" on every issue. These essays aren't even particularly good. Many are poorly written, ostensibly to make a point. Now, some of the essays do have value, but taken all together they constitute not an attempt to show the best and most useful works in the English language but rather to convince students of a certain point of view. I would advise any professor not to use this book exclusively, as the essays are really repulsive to anyone who doesn't agree with the premises therein.

Maryssa Tiny & Useless This is the second Spyro guide Prima has made that is less than half the size of a regular strategy guide. The writing is tiny, the maps are vague, andthe binding is badly put together. You practically have to crack this in half to read it. Even the pages are no longer quality shiny paper. Unless you collect guides, definitly skip this. The game itself doesn't really need a guide with it's new format anyways.

Michael Kerner Fast & Furious These days, the hype of racing games and how to win at them is in many forms.With the success of Need For Speed and the last edition, Most Wanted, a new edition had to come around with the latest Need For Speed game, Carbon. This strategy guide highlights the latest edition for the consoles, PS2 and the upcoming PS3, PC, Gamecube, the highly-anticipated Nintendo Wii and the Xbox 360, and shows in detail each of the tracks and all the highlights for each of the sleek automobiles. This guide does a much better job at highlighting the depths of the game in each course than Need For Speed: Most Wanted did. The only downside is that if you've purchased Need For Speed: Carbon Own The City for the PSP, Game Boy Advance or the Nintendo DS, the strategy guide isn't going to help you. If you own the thrils of this game for your video game system, you'll definitely want this guide.

Andrew Johnson Good guide for an easy game I could have easily beaten this game without the strategy guide. However, this is not to say that this isn't a good guide. While the game is easy the guide does a very good job of walking you through the levels, and there are many helpful tips for the boss battles. At the end of the day I do not regret this purchase.

Given the delays in bringing Forza 2 to market, you'd think they could get this one right, but no.
Most of this book is reference material that rightly belongs in appendices, but they chose to insert it in many pieces into the middle of the text. This makes it very hard to find the reading material.
So that could have been solved by a good index. There is NO index. What about a Table of Contents? Yes there is one, but it is very brief and EVERY page number reference is incorrect. Yes, every single one.
Early in the book, page 4, you are referred to the Multiplayer Chapter. There is NO Multiplayer Chapter. So there is no coverage of Online Exhibition races, Quickmatch, Custom Match, Create Match or Online Career races.
Very few words are devoted to multi-screen, certainly nothing that could provide guidance in setting up multiple screens. And there are two glaring errors, one implying that the only number of screens supported is three, and another claims there is a "replay view" which is just not true.
Often the "why" is not explained, such as why would you hire a driver to drive for you if he/she takes 100% of the prize money?
The sequence of the material is somewhat random and they even take topics and split them. Pit strategy is covered on pages 20 and 187. And that coverage doesn't even explain how long a pit stop may take or how to even initiate a pit stop.
My recommendations are:-
1. Have low expectations
2. Be prepared to use a lot of Post-It tabs to mark useful things you find
3. Be very, very patient when trying to find information
4. Do NOT assume "it must be here somewhere" - it probably isn't
