M. Iffrig Deception Guide, Part 2. The Armageddon guide may seem intimidating and interesting due to the number of pages it's toting - but do not be fooled.
I had the chance to check this guide out at a local Walmart and after looking through the information - I couldn't buy it. Now, before you question me - I have been an MK fan since MKI, and the recent streaming of guides has been horrible. From bad to worse, and this one takes the cake.
In the middle of the information, the authors decide to randomly throw in UMK3 strategies. This is an MKA guide, not UMK3. It completely throws off the flow of information the guide gives. This however, is not the worst of it.
The Deception guide at least featured all of the character renders, aside from Liu Kang. This guide does not. You'd think with the page count, new renders and the character's accurate story would greet you - however, it doesn't. There are some renders for characters - again, some. However, it's reused from Mortal Kombat Deception, and Shaolin Monks.
There are little to no screen shots, no pictures of the fatalities, there's no mention of the Vault, and the guide's overall composition is horrible. If you bought the Deception guide and knew why it was so horrible, get ready for another horrible guide.
Do not buy this Guide. Your best bet is to contact their customer Service and tell them to just recall it and do it over - much like Brady did with their MKD guide and released a special Code Book.

LB Don't waste your money The back cover of the guide promisses "expert lessons". Where? It's just more general suggestions. I already know I need to learn the counter system to be effective at this game. The booklet with the game tells me that. HOW PRIMA? HOW DO I DO IT? There's no lesson. There's no how to. I'm still looking for the promised "gaurd breaks" list in the "character strategies" section. Sounds like it's something I'd really like to try. This guide makes it seem like an effective tool. Too bad that other then a general description of what a guard break will do for me, there's no actual instruction on the technique.
Great I know all the character moves that you can't possibly hope to accomplish while the computer has you in a 99999 punch juggle. I can get that info for free on gamefaq.com. I was actually better as a button masher at this game than I am armed with this worthless guide.

R. Bhatnagar Detailed Guide, Gives you most of what you would want... This is a good game guide covering most of everything you would want to know about the game, as you would expect.
I found an error in the specific level at which an ultimate weapon enhancement item is to be purchased. I dont specifically remember it, but here are all of them:
Pristine Lightstone in Library Tower for 2000
Oozing Orb in Silver Cathedral for 3500
Rune of Anguish in the Kiln for 5000
Orb of Suffering in City Slums (South I think, before proceeding to the Grinder) for 7500
Overall, if you want to enjoy playing the game knowing all secrets, I would recommend buying this.

Jonathan Acevedo USELESS GUIDE Usually these Prima Guides are on point, but this guide for Naruto: Rise of a Ninja is absolutely useless. It doesnt tell you where to find things or missions, at best it briefly describes the tasks and never explains what to do, how to do something, or where to find things. On one of the most annoying Social Missions which was a race thru the water-fall area for the second time it says, "finish the race and collect reward." Oh really? I didnt know I was supposed to finish a race thanks a lot Prima!!...Dont even bother buying this I wasted my money.
The only positive thing is the multiplayer strategies, other than that if you wanted a walkthrough just find a much better, in depth one online.
