Today I am not happy with how my XBOX 360 is akin to a cinder brick. I was playing my favorite game, and then all of a sudden, the damn Console just goes on the blink and ceases to operate. The power and everything else seems ok connection wise. There so happens to be a indicator ring on the front of the xbox, showing three red lights, encompassing 3/4's of the indicator ring. My friend tells me it is the "red ring of death" which means "General Hardware Failure."
I am fed up with spending my hard earned money on a gaming Console, which will just die after a while. I am not going to spend another $400 dollars just to get another xbox that might just die on me again (despite claims that Microsoft has claimed the newer ones do not have this problem.) But I knew I wanted to look for another alternative instead of having Microsoft look at the box, me having to ship my xbox 360 to them.
So, I found an alternative. Now I had to get a tiny bit technical with some basic hand tools, and spend up to a couple of hours of my own time. A couple of hours of free time, and some basic hand tools, would be better than spending another $400 dollars. The Three Red Light Fix, is a series of videos that explain in pure specific step by step detail on how to disassemble, repair, and reassemble my xbox 360.
I was very skeptical, and unsure about the possible outcome of the xbox getting repaired. Yeah it would of voided the warranty, but if I can do this quick fix for under two hours, I was game. So i performed the repair, per the videos from Three Red Light Fix, and I was back up and running! Now let's go back on to the next achievement level!

This is the death of my xbox 360, It was just 2 months old. I was going to record just a freezing screen, what i got instead was death! Red ring of death! But its fine now, i sent it to microsoft and they got me a new one. The towel trick did work but it was not a definitive solution. Update: My second xbox 360 died too, I got it back in 5 days, it runs cooler but its noisy. Music By Koh Otani (Shadow Of The Colossus) Edit: I'm sick of stupid people who say "its no well ventilated, stand it up, its overheating, put it in your fridge when you play" Its a design flaw, why do you think bill gates has extended their warranty to 3 years??? because its their fault! Not the user's! Besides its not there anymore I dont even live in the same house. And stop complaining about the "low battery" blinking controller that has nothing to do, dumbasses!
