The smart way to shop This product is great. DO NOT BUY THIS CABLE FOR $100 AT BEST BUY, CIRCUIT CITY, ETC. I can't believe the nerve of these big companies that are selling this product for so much money. If you go into the stores, the sales people will tell you that the more expensive products provide the best graphics. This is completely false. They are all the same. I just bought a cable off of ebay for under $12 with shipping and insurance included. My cable works great...just as great as if I had paid $100 at Best Buy. Please don't be fooled by these sales clerks at these stores, most of which do not own a Playstation 3 in the first place.

Useless Why would you buy this? just use the audio plugs on the original A/V cables that came with your system and buy a $10-$20 hdmi cable right here on Amazon. Thats what i did and the picture is great. your gettin jacked out of $40 with this. this adapter shoulndnt cost more than $25.

Turns the PS3 into a real blu-ray player The remote is the one thing that we needed to make playing blu ray discs on our PS3 easy. Using the game controller worked but was an exercise in frustration. So - not a necessary item, but sure is convenient!

Great cable for a great price This is an awesome price for v1.3a certified cable. Cable seems solid and not flimsy like other cables I've read reviews for. I'm using it to connect my DVR to my LCD TV and its working great.
Works great I have an HD-TV with only one HDMI input, and I wanted to connect both my PS3 and HTPC to it. I was interested in getting some sort of switch so that I wouldn't have to manually re-plug the cable every time I wanted to change between the two. All of the other solutions were crazy expensive or generally reviewed as unreliable, so I decided to grab this smart switch as it is cheap and was reviewed well on other sites.
I was actually kind of skeptical about the "smartness" of this thing, as I keep my HTPC on -all- the time, so I had a feeling it would get stuck on that input, and I would just have to use the manual override when I wanted toplay my PS3 (which I do power off). I would have been totally fine with this (pressing the button to switch is easy), but when I got the unit, it was smart enough to figure out that when I turned on my PS3, that's what I wanted to use. As a result the thing works -perfectly-, and I don't have to touch it at all.

Great cable I was skeptical at first especially since I had bought an $80 HDMI cable to go with my new 61" Samsung TV. I waited for this cable to arrive then compared the picture (didn't care about sound since I was using the optical input) by swapping the cable. I spent an about an hour comparing the two cables and could not tell betweenthe cables. The cable appears to solidly built and of good quality. Its bandwidth rate of 10.2 Gbps is higher then most of the "High end" HDMI cables on the market. Needless to say the $80 HDMI cable was returned and I'm going to buy at least one more of these cables to go with the PS3 I'm about to buy.

Don't be tricked into paying over a hundred dollars for one of these... Although this one is still a little pricey, it is half the cost of a majority of these cables. It is very solid and durable and I've had no problems with it so far. This will output 1080p from your PS3 to your HDTV(if your TV supports it). If that is what you are looking for then you should purchase this. However, you can find cheaper ones if you really look. This one seemed like the best choice to me and I have no regrets!
