not the best but worth it this game does have good graphics, the puzzles are good and it's fun to play. the story line is a little weird and this one place that's a little bit creepy, but it fits the story line. i like the fact you get to play some one else besides Nancy (which is Bess). this is not one of best games but close to them and worth the purchase price. Nancy Drew: The White Wolf of Icicle Creek is another exciting and dangerous mystery starring Nancy Drew. She's at Icicle Creek Lodge to investigate a recent string of suspicious accidents. An eerie howling wolf keeps everyone up at night and terrorizes the guests. The wolf alsoappears at the site of accidents and then mysteriously disappears when the police arrive. As Nancy makes her way to the cozy lodge, an explosion rocks the quiet night, destroying a bunkhouse. A wolf howls mournfully in the distance. Nancy has been asked to visit with a girl she hardly knows, to solve a strange problem. Travelling to the town of Titusville, she finds a contested will, a suffering girl & suspicious "psychics". fun game, hard ending this is a fun game. it has good graphics, the story line is good but the end to this game is hard until you get used to it, which is barely. you get to meet the Hardy Boys for the first time. I recommend this game to mystery lovers and starters that feel up to it. Add a Review

The Haunted Carousel: Hauntingly Good! In The Haunted Carousel, Nancy is visiting a theme park to solve the mystery of why the rides are acting very strange. The roller coaster suddenly stopped, and in the middle of the night, the carousel starts turning by itself. Nancy Drew comes to Captain's Cove amusement park when it is shut down. However, people are still working there, and Nancy is quick to meet these people and figure out their motives for possible sabotage.
This game was the first Nancy Drew computer game I played (I have now played seven, and I will be starting a new one as soon as possible.) This is probably one of the more scary ones out of the ones I have played. The Haunted House is even scarier than the person in the salt water taffy shop in Nancy Drew: Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon!
Even though it is pretty scary, it is also entertaining. There are puzzles, games and absolute oddities (the robot thing is definitly included). The ending is very exiting, and it really surprised me. (Now I know how to spot possible culprits early on. It won't surprise more experienced players, but it is really a quite good game. It is one of the simpler games. If you are looking for a more challenging game, I suggest you try Nancy Drew: Secret of the Scarlet Hand. The Haunted Carousel is definitly not very long compared to the other games, but is just as entertaining. Add a Review

An Enoyable ND. This one is alot better than the first. It full of suspense and mystery.See, this family friend and daytime soap opera star invites Nancy to NY to discover who could be threatening her Co-Star. You can go to three different areas and in each one you get to do alot of sleuthing and find alot of clues.You can question suspects like Rick and Mattie to find out what they have to hide.Youcan go through secret passage ways to find out information that can help you solve the case. I really enjoyed it but I only gave it four stars because I like the later games a little better. But I would highly reccomend this game to any ND fan. Add a Review

Doesn't Stack up to Others I am a HUGE fan of the Nancy Drew game series and have played about 6 or 7 of them already. Danger by Design was one of my least favorites. Although the scenery is nice and it shows alot of Paris, there is little to do atall of the locations and the tasks seem to get repetitive. After talking to the characters a few times they had little to say and there was not alot of interaction with them. There were much much less puzzles and clues to gather as there are in other ND games. Most of the game time is spent doing silly tasks like baking cookies and fixing a copy machine. And when there was a real puzzle to do it was very difficult to solve and the solutions were not something someone would have logically come up with. The plot was choppy and there were two angles to the story that had absolutely nothingto do with one another. I finished the entire game in one afternoon and the ending was lame, no excitement at all. This might me a better game for a much younger group because the tasks are easy and there are no real scary parts as there are in many of the ND games. Overall I give this game a 3 because it still had some good aspects and I love the ND series. This one goes in with the category of Kapu Cave, not horrible, but not the best. Add a Review
