Zergwatch:Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, is a next-gen experience complete with top-of-the-line graphics and surround sound designed for the Sony PlayStation 3. Featuring the most revealing display of Kojima Production's premier title, MSG4 details the world where Snake must under go his final mission. In a world overrun by private military companies (PMCs), wars are no longer fought over nations or ideologies. Instead, the wars of the future are micro-managed by overarching PMCs, right down to the bullet. New gadgets and abilities fuel Snake's journey deep into the enemy domains of the Middle East, South America, and beyond. New gear includes "Metal Gear Mk. II," the ultimate reconnaissance tool, and "Solid Eye," which gives Snake real-time information on enemies and his surroundings.

Joined by a familiar cast of characters, Snake must once again return to the battlefield to confront his lifelong rival, Liquid Ocelot, who is manipulating the world's wars from the one world where soldiers will always have a place. But Liquid Ocelot is not the only one who will be able to manipulate the world's wars--Snake can destabilize opposing forces by working behind the scenes, supporting the local militia as they fight PMCs, creating a smokescreen that allows Snake to move freely within the war-zone.
MGS4 is a next-generation adventure set in the aftermath of MGS2: Sons of Liberty. The concept behind the latest Metal Gear Solid project is "no place to hide," and this edition in the series will force Snake into unexpected circumstances with an all-new storyline that breaks away in some ways from the previous MGS franchise entries. We don't want to spoil it for you, but, producer Hideo Kojima did reveal some very juicy tidbits about the game and the storyline when it was first announced at E3 of 2006. "Until now," said Kojima, "we've released two entries of the MSX2 Metal Gear series, and three entries in the Metal Gear Solid series. Add to this Portable Ops, and you get a total of six titles. All mysteries will be cleared up in Metal Gear Solid 4."
Kojima was very clear about the finality of MSG4, leaving gamers to wonder, "Will Snake die?!" When asked if the story will come to this sort of an end, Kojima responded without the slightest bit of vagueness, "It will come to an end." The MGS4 E3 trailer showed a number of characters from the Metal Gear and Metal Gear Solid histories. This final installment is sure to deliver loads of cameos, in fact, it is rumored that nearly all the characters from the series will make an appearance.
In addition to a return of classic Metal Gear Solid characters, the gameplay systems from part three are also expected to make a comeback. The camouflage system from part three will make it into MGS4, with the addition of "OctoCamo," Snake's most advanced stealth suit to date. The name appears to be formed from the words "Octopus" and "camoflauge," and players will be awestruck by the chameleon-like camo that changes with the surroundings. OctoCamo allows Snake to blend in with his environment as it digitally manifests nearby textures in real time. Think if it this way, if Snake is standing next to a wall worn out with holes, he too will appear to be riddled with holes. It has also been revealed that MGS4 will have online play, but no specifics have been released. Although very little information is known about the game's visuals, rumor has it that MGS4 is expected to be the finest representation of console graphics on the PS3, and it is expected that they will just get better and better as the game nears its release date.
Chris Graham Don't believe the hype. I, like so many others, was excited about the release of this game and had been looking forward to it for a very long time. I've played all the other games previous to this one (including VR missions) and loved them, they were great fun and the storylines were decent, but not great. I bought the game the day it came out and as soon as I got home, I popped it into my PS3. I thought the game was innovative with the new camouflage system, but as soon as that annoying little robot showed up, I knew this game was going to be corny. Corny is an understatement. The CONSTANT cleavage close-ups get really old, really fast (and yes, I'm a straight male gamer). The storyline blows, the beauty in the beast theme for the enemies is really, really lame. "snake, you need to change to disc two, oh wait, we're on blu-ray, there is no disc two! Isn't blu-ray technology amazing?" OH MY GOD! When Otacon said that, I wanted to take the disc and throw it out the window. That was the last straw, I couldn't take this game anymore and I haven't played it since.
I really don't get what all the hype was about, now that I've played thegame.
If you're looking to get this game, rent it first, it's definitely not for everyone.

Nicolas Soria Too Americanized This DDR has pretty much all American mainstream music, I was looking forward to at least a few Japanese or Europop music. The slow remixes of R&B or 80s songs doesn't make it feel like DDR.
I didn't like the wiimote or the gimmicks, so I turned them off in the songlist options. It is just not DDR for me and is a distraction.
I didn't buy this just for the game though, I plan to use the dance pad to play stepmania with my laptop so that I can download whatever songs I want.

G. Williams Once again, North American gamers are short changed! When I purchased the Metal Gear Solid Essential Collection, I was expecting the whole deal! All the extras, the VR missions, PSP ACID games and then the Persistence disc for Metal Gear Solid 3. I am not like other gamers on this site in the sense that I will come down hard on Konami North America for once again showing its disrespect for us true die hard traditional gamers in the United States! It is galling that even after seeing how many people are willing to pay the extra dollars here in the U.S.A. for all the new technologies and bell whistles that come with them that these U.S. companies STILL labor under the impression that anything new here should come half completed, whereas in Japan they get the whole kit and kaboodle.
To anybody that buys this product, please read the box and item summary before you purchase it. If you are a Metal Gear fanatic like myself, you will be totally disappointed in the utter lack of extras. An essential collection this is not!
Ronaldo Fernandes The best football game ever made Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 for the Wii is the best football game ever made. There is no doubts regarding that, despite the game shows some flaws. Graphics are average, at best, and it definitely lacks more leagues and teams. However, gaming is all about gameplay and I can't have a better football game in your couch without it. Unlike other football games, you can actually control the tactics used by your team. Off ball running, offside trap, and many other intricate tactics are available in a very intuitive control scheme. Unlike other franchises, Konami is really getting football games in to a higher level of development. Once you try it, there is no way you can return to the older scheme.

Full voiceovers for cinematics, performed by returning cast from MGS3 - Snake Eater
Jonathan Bueno MGS PO The Reazon behind Outer Heaven Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops
Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops its really a new experience. The controls, in firts place, are not so complicated as people use to say, and you get use to it with less effort. The history is just what you expect from a MGS game, and if you're fan of BIG BOSS (like I am) you have to buy it, for the plot that lead it, and to find your call.
I was disapointed about this game in two aspects:
-First, the graphics are really nice, but there's an error in the eyes, that don't blink... That's a little annoying for me, that like to look the graphics and the faces. The expresions are statics, but the general graphics try to emulate as good as posible in the psp plataform the graphics of MGS3.
-The other subject is the thing that they DON'T allways talk, they talk just in the story/comic like cuts and, because of I playedthe ps and ps2 ones I see that talking was a seal of MGS, I was just especting the same. You can live with it, the story/comic cuts are really nice and original, kinda annoy sometimes, but you'll love other parts when they just blow it up :3
So basically, it's a great game. The online mode is kinda fun, and the way you can recruit and use soldiers from the enemy makes a good Idea how foxhound was build, and how Boss became a leader. Outer heaven is what was build after this plot, so if you love this history, buy it for sake.
The action franchise that started it all is celebrating its 20th anniversary with an all-new adventure on Nintendo DS. Set after the events of Contra III: Alien Wars, the game follows mercenaries Bill Rizer and Lance Bean as they battle to save the world from a new extraterrestrial threat. Contra 4 takes advantage of the dual screens of the Nintendo DS to deliver larger than life action, with massive enemies, detailed platforming and mind-blowing set pieces. Across a variety of game modes, including full cooperative play through the main story mode, two players can take the fight to the alien army of the Black Viper and reclaim Earth for mankind.
Eric M. Harris Challenging but fun! Contra 4 for the Nintendo DS is not what most would call a casual game. The challenge in this game ramps up quickly and never lets up. If you want a fun arcade like game, or enjoyed the older Contra games from back in the day you will LOVE this game. If you however get angry at dying from one hit and losing allyour weapons... then you might want to pass. Besides the main game which makes good use of the dual screens and keeps you on your toes, you also have alot of unlockable content to keep things fresh for a long time.
I would recommend this game to anyone with a DS that likes a little challenge in their games.

Millions share the dream. Now you can live it! ESRB Rated E for Everyone
Jenny Redo Great singing game This is a great game for the entire family. My five-year-old has improved her reading speed on top of her singing pitch. I really like how this one shows you if you are sharp or flat. I also enjoy the duets as my children work on singing in harmony.
However, I wish they removed certain words from the songs like they did on Boogie. I look forward to downloading more songs as we unlocked everything there was to unlock in one week.
T. Sammons Fun This is a fun game but some of the controls are hard. My brother bought this game for the Wii; he thought some of the games where hard, but I liked them. I think this game is good for some 6 year olds and up.
K. Wilson DDR is a blast. DDR Max 2 is fabulous. This game has a good selection of high energy music...from all different artists and styles. Obviously the skill levels can be changed, so every player can play at there own pace. I haven't had any qualms with this product. I have the greatest time "dancing" with family and friends. Highly recommended!!!

Luis Andino Pinto Amazing Game!! I have played all mgs games since nintendo, i would dare to say that this saga it's the best action game ever made, because of the history, the characters, the music, scenarios, action. etc.. in my own opinion i prefer mgs 1 for ps1 i think that's the best game, this one is very good but i think the history in mgs1 was really impresive like if you were playing a real good action movie, but still this game is also one of the best, the controls are great, the dificulty is good, you have to think a lot to complete your mission, it's not that you're going killing everybody in your way, it's very strategic to complete your objectives.
