Manhunt 2 creates a horrifying new environment that tests your nerve and your skill. An experiment at a secret research facility has gone catastrophically wrong. Daniel is sent to the Dixmor Asylum, where six years later a freakish storm of lightning hits the power. Leaving it dark and haunting. Daniel Lamb and Leo Kasper are the only surviving subjects. They have one chance to take back their lives and they're taking it. Anyone who stands in their way is a dead man. Players can take control of Leo Kasper in the new Flashback Mode

REVIEWHitman is better
I bought this game for my fiance for Christmas because we love playing Hitman. The graphics are disappointing and there is a special effect that fuzzes out the screen with kind of a scratching sound...very distracting. I would recommend the Hitman Trilogy over this game. Don't buy it.

Suggested Retail Price: $14.86

The sequel to Rockstar's sinister action game about a man who wakes up in a living nightmare where he is being stalked for sport and must sneak through the shadows and kill by whatever means he can devise in order to fight his way out. The sequel picks up with a new lead character, new gangs, a new storyline with gruesome twists and turns, and much more. The urban horrors of Cancer City are gone. Manhunt 2 takes place in a dark, shadowy, asylum filled with dark realities and psychological turmoil.
Danny and Leo were subjects in a diabolical experiment that hadgone wrong. They were the only two survivors. The game starts in a dingy asylum. You're Danny and your goal is to escape and let no one stand in your way - guards, inmates, nurses, doctors - are all enemies. Can you? Leo talk to Danny throughout the entire escape. There are questions about Danny's sanity but you don't have enough time to consider it as he rampages through the 'hospital' killing his way from one level to the next. He is, of course, relentlessly pursued by a group of viscous hunters who will also stop at nothing to finish Danny off. Actively pursued, the hunted Danny Lamb musttackle his way out of a nightmare where the stakes are as real as they are dangerous. While the core gameplay is still sneaking, shooting, and performing stealth attacks, there are a number of new options available for players in this exciting new version that's ripe and ready for the Wii. It's bound to be a major hit with Wii owners.
Like the original Manhunt, Manhunt 2 isn't for the faint-hearted ( ESRB rating is M for Mature). Death scenes are particularly gruesome, gory and bloody. Improved AI and advanced graphics make the game seem more realistic. Coupled with an eery soundtrack and sensational audio effects, Manhunt 2 is a sure-fire sequel for fans in search for frenzied action, explosive gameplay, and pulse-tingling adventure.

REVIEWHonestly, you can't sell this kind of junk and get away with it.
The Wii version has several bugs in navigation and in loading. The navigation bug happens sometimes when you start the game and the wii controller gets mis auto-calibrated. The loading bug is horrible, and the screen freezes while the next enemy scene is loaded, which takes away the surprise, interrupts the gameplay and will wear on you the 8th time it happens within the first 15 minutes of the game.
Also, the game is specifically about violent executions, and it blurs them all out, almost completely. With no real violent cut-scenes, play control that's worse than Castlevania I, and long periods of no-action "sneaking" (who doesn't want to sit in a shadow for 5 minutes waiting for a CPU to walk by?) I can't remember a worse game for the Wii. And there have been some awful ones.

REVIEWA decent, gory romp on your PSP
Manhunt 2 by Rockstar Games is a perfectly serviceable adventure game that holds up very well on the PSP. As the game strongly advises from the onset - be sure to play these games with headphones on and preferably in a darkened environment. To do so otherwise greatly diminishes the expertly crafted mood and atmosphere that truly is the best thing about this title. As for the gameplay itself Manhunt2 is a decent, but not great, adventure romp that most players should be able to complete in 10 hours or so. The game spans 15 episodic chapters (with 1 bonus chapter unlocked after completion) that delves into the character and story of Nathan Lamb, a man with no clue as to his past and present state locked up in a psychiatric ward. Graphically, the heavily grained and filtered visual style looks really sharp on the PSP and the audio is wonderfully layered with some excellent effects and a truly magnificent ambient score.

Manhunt highlights the sick and gruesome world of cold-blooded murderers. It's an intense, violent gaming experience, capturing the dark side of humanity more accurately than any game before. NOTE - This game has accurate&realistic depictions of violence and murder. It is not recommended for sensitive or younger game players.

REVIEWWeird, Bloodie game!
I am 13, so I'll admit I'm too young for this game. But unlike many idiots, I can actually play this game and not run down to a park and strangle someone with a shopping plastic bag.So I'm Mature enough for this game.

Manhunt is a stealth-killing game based in the corrupt GTA universe, its not set in Liberty City,Vice City, San Andreas but the sadistic Carcer City.

Its a killing game based on stealth-orientated movements and you are one man versus 10 gangs who are armed and ready to chump into you. They aren't sane so they will have no qualms about killing you, but you're meant the act the same way and make well sure that your hunters are put out of their misery.

The Story is about a man named James Earl Cash, he's been sentenced to death by lethal injection but he wakes up hours later and finds an ear piece, apparently a Snuff film director paid the executioners to inject him with a knockout drug instead of the lethal syringe but to pay the Director back, Cash must escape the place and kill the gang members paid by the Director as gruesome as he can.gangs include lunatics in weird clothing, ex-Army soldiers suffering from severe shellshock and even Police and SWAT officers

You get many weapons, including plastic bags, glass shards, baseball bats, rifles, shotguns, pistols and sharp weapons such as knives and meat cleavers.

The games only downfalls are the fact that it uses a broken stealth engine(I'm an expert at Metal Gear and Splinter Cell so I should know) and the graphics are ALMOST as bad as GTA's but do have the slight betterness

all in all I rated this game 8.8/10
"Enjoyable expierience with flaws"

I hope there will be a Manhunt sequel on PS3/360

REVIEWSimply the best game I've ever played
There is a movement going on in the world of video gaming, those of us who absolutely cherish the 'Manhunt' title are doing whatever we can to convince Rockstar to make a sequel to this game!!! It's been out for a few years, and I know it was a hit when it first came out, so instead of wasting time with more dumb GTA titles, can we please get our sequel? There is numerous web-sites dedicated to this 'movement' , they talk about petitions, phone-calls, you name it, fans of this game are willing to do it. I believe one person went so far as to try and get to the head execs at Rockstar headquarters, but his message apparently fell on deaf ears.

Alot of fans feel the reason no sequel has been discussed is all the controversy that first appeared upon the games initial release. I have a hard time believing this, while I agree this game is sick and twisted and extremely violent, it's nothing we haven't seen before in any of the GTA or Resident Evil titles. If anyone takes this game to serious and causes any problems then blame the individual, not the game.

Okay, enough preaching, let's chat about this amazing game. No game I've ever played kept me more entertained, excited, and shaking my head in disbelief then 'Manhunt'. While I agree it is a tad slow and deliberate, the patience and persistence you need to play this only adds to the enjoyment. It's nice to have a game when you can use stealth instead of mass-murdering, when you use patience and planning istead of running head-on into the crowd and start hacking everything in sight. I also liked the way the game gets much harder the farther you advance, at first the beginning levels are rather easy, but as you hit level after level (there are 20) the game gets more intense and much more violent. Another big plus is you can control the severity of the kill, you can make it quick and mildly painfull, or make it gruesome and gory.

I have never been a huge fan of 'bosses' those games when you finish a level, but at the end there is some ultra-tough boss that takes an extreme amount of damage to destroy. With 'Manhunt' you don't get that, it's just gang member after gang member coming after you, all with different weapons that vary in inflicting damage on you. I have played and finished all the GTA games as well as the Resident Evil titles, and don't get me wrong, those are fun games (except Vice City, what a waste of time) but after playing 'Manhunt' and completing it some 15 times now, it amazed me how much those other games were lacking. For pure suspense, there is none better!!!!!!

Brian Cox supplies the voice of Starkweather, the main man in control of the whole game. You talk about a perfect fit, his voice is chilling yet comical at times, forcefull through most of the game, then pathetic and begging at the end. Cox absolutely nailed this, and heres hoping that if we ever get a sequel, his voice will again be behind it. So while I'm not gung-ho with the petition, etc, etc. I figure the more I can make people aware of this sensational game, then the more apt they will be to play it and buy it, maybe that will get Rockstar's attention.

REVIEWLadies and gentlemen, I give you James Earl Cash.
By this point, it's safe to say that Rockstar Games in general -- and Rockstar North in particular -- will be known for all time as the makers of the hugely popular Grand Theft Auto games. Nothing wrong with that; I happen to love GTA, and I probably always will. But that doesn't mean they can't do something different every once in a while.

And believe me, friend, this is something COMPLETELY different.

James Earl Cash, a death row inmate, is set to be executed...and he is. No, wait; he isn't. He's tranquilized by the corrupt staff and his life bought by a man named Lionel Starkweather, to be the "star" of the latest MANHUNT, a lethal bloodsport/snuff film where Cash must fight to survive against murderous gangs out to kill him on sight. So while it has shades of survival horror games like RESIDENT EVIL, or stealth games like METAL GEAR SOLID, this is a whole different beast. You can't survive a fight against massed numbers; you have to be quick, quiet, and utterly ruthless, and strike from the shadows.

Weapons are like nothing you've ever seen, ranging from the conventional to the brutal to the inconsequential. They're arranged in four color-coded categories. GREEN weapons are completely silent, one-handed affairs, but they're used up after a single use, and they include such everyday items as a plastic bag or a glass shard. YELLOW weaponsare more useful as lures; you throw them to draw a hunter into a trap, and they include such simple things as bricks, bottles, or cans. BLUE weapons aren't as quiet as greens, but can be reused, and are more varied; a hand axe, a scythe, a crowbar, handguns, etc. RED weapons are two-handed, and are the most powerful and brutal in the game; metal baseball bats, rifles, you get the idea. You can only carry one of each class of weapon, so you'll have to choose carefully, depending on the situation.

Carcer City itself is a very different animal from the other cities in the GTA games. I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be Detroit, but you can forget thinking you'll be on foot in a place similar to Liberty City. Carcer is a decaying metropolis; nearly every level takes place in a location that's been closed down and abandoned. City blocks, shopping malls, apartment complexes, you name it; they're all dark, shadowy, and rotting, sprayed with graffitti, festooned with garbage, but far from being empty. In fact, they're literally pulsing with menace and dread.

The gangs of hunters you'll face are psychotic in their own way, and barely human. Hoods, Skinz, Wardogs, Innocentz, Smileys...they're all more animal than man, and they need to be put down like the rabid dogs they are. Even the corrupt Carcer City police and Starkweather's personal guard, the Cerberus, will be lining up against you. And with the weapons you'll acquire, you'll be able to take them down in some very imaginative and gruesome ways.

That's not to say the game doesn't have its occasional flaws, however. One of the most glaring being: precisely what was it Cash did that got him on death row? Did he actually do it, or was he set up by Starkweather? Not knowing these things made it a little harder for me to be able to sympathize with him, unlike Tommy Vercetti or Carl Johnson. In fact, Cash is such a walking cypher that he's only a few steps above the mute protagonist of GTA3; he actually speaks, and you know his name, but that's about it. And while one mission introduces two men and two women identified as his family, they're never named, and we never learn just HOW they're related to him. Are they his brothers and sisters? Cousins? We never know.

But in spite of all that, this isstill a harrowing, thrilling game. It's long been a habit of mine to compare a game to movies I find similar if I were to explain it to someone else. And in this case, I'd have to say if you took the blighted urban landscape of ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK, the death-as-a-game-show aspect of THE RUNNING MAN, the gangs of human jackals from THE WARRIORS, the depths of human depravity you'd find in SAW, and combined it all with the absolute, inhuman garbage you'd find on most of today's reality TV game shows, you'd find MANHUNT staring right back at you just seconds before it plunges a glass shard into your eyes.

And blood?

Oh, yes. There will be blood.
