Since Master Replicas released the very first Force FX Lightsaber in 2002, fans have been clamoring for a Yoda Force FX. Unfortunately, due to the small size of Yoda's hilt, Master Replicas' team of product designers and engineers have been unable to fit all of the necessary light and sound technology in place to create a "realistic" Yoda FX that would live up to the standards of its' predecessors - that is, until now! With recent breakthroughs in Force FX technology, we are pleased to announce that the Yoda Force FX Lightsaber has become a reality!
Since Yoda was created digitally for the prequel trilogy, his lightsaber was also a digital construct. And so, Lucasfilm once again granted Master Replicas engineers access to the ILM computer files and reference images, allowing for the creation of the most authentic, realistic Force FX lightsaber possible. While the Yoda Force FX Lightsaber is smaller than anything released to date - measuring roughly 33-inches (including the blade), versus average Force FX which measures 44 inches - remember, as Yoda taught us, "Size Matters Not!" And of course, the Yoda Force FX features:
ú An enhanced glowing green blade with realistic power-up and power-down light effects. The power-up and power-down light effects are produced by a string of 64 super-bright LEDs that ignite sequentially inside the blade.
ú Five motion sensor controlled sound effects digitally recorded from the movie: power-up, idle hum, swing, clash, and power-down.
ú 3 built-in motion sensors for super sensitivity: 2 for detecting movement and 1 for detecting the impact of the blade.
ú A durable metal hilt looks and feels like a real lightsaber.
ú A sturdy blade is permanently attached to the hilt.
Add the weapon of the greatest Jedi in the Galaxy - wise, old Master Yoda - to your collection today!
REVIEW
Yoda Force FX Lightsaber I was surprised when opening the box, why? This saber is smaller than i thought (why? because my experience with Anakin ROTS which are bigger, longer, and heavier). At first, kinda dissapointed because the blade size and length, but when i try to spin and swing just like in the movie, woaaaaah this saber is perfect! Compared with Anakin ROTS, this one is easy to hold, and the weight just fit with my arms power.
Recommended for person with short finger or having problem with holding heavy object, this saber is light and small.
You must carefully to treat the emitter and the switch box because the black paint is easy to scratch.
In the climactic final episode to the prequel trilogy, Anakin Skywalker is armed with the weapon he will one day hand down to his son, Luke Skywalker. This weapon is destined to battle on, through "Revenge of the Sith" and beyond—to the first stories told on film, which began with the release of Episode IV in1977. Thus, the prop designers were charged with retaining the iconic lightsaber's original look, which was based on an antique camera flash, while revising it in such a way that would fit with the 2005 film's design aesthetic. From the lightsaber used in Episode IV ("A New Hope"), they copied the placement of the flash's "red button," but replaced the "glass eye" with a copper-painted dome. The remaining details follow the Episode V ("The Empire Strikes Back") version and include 6 co-molded rubber hand grips, a knurled center band and a unique laser-etched design in the control-box top, which looks like a printed circuit board. A brass activation switch and 18K gold-plated accent parts—along with plastic clip for attachment to the belt—complete the design. The hilt is made of machined aluminum and brass, the grips are co-molded rubber and injection-molded plastic. Engineered from the actual prop used in filming, it is a limited edition replica and comes with a custom-designed display case, numbered metal display plaque and certificate of authenticity. Display case has a matte black base, mirrored floor, acrylic supports and acrylic dust cover. Saber: approx. 11Lx1" dia. Display case: 14Lx4-3/4Wx6H".

The Blade of a Jedi I must say that this piece is absolutly exquisit. I have made a habbit of collecting swords and i have many pieces from The Lord of the Rings, i was looking at them i have swords, knives, but the one thing i did not have was a lightsaber, the ultimate sword. Now that i have it... it is awesome. It is beautifuly crafted and feels sturdy and durriable. As well it comes with very elegant papers and cerifiricates of authentication. This is by far my favorate piece in my collection, and it looks awesome. The only minus is that when i look at it i wish there was some decoration behind it. Because i see this fantastic lightsaber, then my wall, oh well maybe a poster will make it look better.
But still this wepon is beautiful and it feels real, like i could push the button and the saphire blade would hum to life. But alas the tecnology of a real lightsaber eludes us, but until then this the best to be had.

Pretty But The Blade Is VERY Dull I was impressed by this item's sound effects and how bright it was. However I purchased it in order to do numerous mundane household tasks, cutting wood, fending off wolverines, etc. After about two hours of hacking at a pine tree, it stopped functioning all together and the tree was no worse for the wear. Very disappointed.

A "New Hope" for my inner child Last Christmas, when I opened this gift expecting a bar clamp, I was quite amazed to see theMaster Replicas Luke Skywalker IV FX Lightsaber. With A realistic metal hilt, rubber grips, what I imagine would be the proper weight for the real deal, and pricing around 150$, I don't really consider this beauty to be a "toy". I threw in three AA batterys on the spot and fired the puppy up. A brilliant blue light shot straight up the durable polycarbonate blade and the trademark crackle and hum filled the living room! It is very detailed, the sounds remarkably accurate, and the light from the blue LEDs is amazing! Anybody who is a Starwars fan will love this. I just purchased the Darth Vader Episode IV and can't wait for it to get here!

fun my brothers and i all have one and we get out and clash them together quite a bit doing some sword play. they are stronger than you think but i wouldn't hit them on anything other than the sabers
The Lightsaber Luke Skywalker wields in the Return of the Jedi has a long and complicated history. The hilt worn by actor Mark Hamill, in most of the scenes in the movie where the lightsaber is not ignited, was in fact an old Obi-Wan Kenobi stunt lightsaber from A New Hope. The blade was cut off and it featured a longer lever on the center band, a conical knob on the rear above the pommel, and a D-ring attached the lightsaber to a belt clip. Cast in aluminum from a milled wooden master, this lightsaber features uneven heat sink fins which we have recreated in the interest of accuracy. For the fighting scenes, a newly machined, but more simplified look-alike version of the above lightsaber was created with a removable blade. A cleaned up version of this lightsaber was used for the close-up insert shot when Darth Vader comments on Luke constructing a new lightsaber. This became known as the hero version of the prop because it was featured so prominently in a close-up. The Version Two of the prop was altered in post-production to look more like the hero lightsaber, possibly in interest of continuity.Master Replicas engineers modeled this faithful replica directly from measurements taken from the surviving prop, and recreated the look from the movies with the help of extensive photographic reference materials supplied from the Lucasfilm Ltd. Archives.
As seen in Star Wars: A New Hope. This version of Obi-Wans classic lightsaber is a painstaking recreation of the design seen in Episode IV, done in .45 scale. It measures 5" long, and is 5/8" in diameter. This special lightsaber reflects the decades of battles fought by Obi-Wan Kenobi. The die-cast metal replica comes with an individual display stand made of black injection molded plastic, with clear supports.
Defiant to the end, with his last breath the venerable Qui-Gon Jinn exacts a fateful promise from his Padawan, Obi-Wan Kenobi, to train a young slave boy named Anakin Skywalker to become a Jedi Knight. During a mission to settle asimple trade dispute between the greedy Trade Federation and the peaceful world of Naboo, Qui-Gon and his apprentice became embroiled in a sinister plot, engineered by the mysterious Darth Sidious, Dark Lord of the Sith. Escaping an ambush, the Jedi landed on the Outer Rim world of Tatooine, where Qui-Gon met a young slave boy, Anakin Skywalker. A practitioner of the Living Force, Qui-Gon sensed the boy to be the "Chosen One," a Jedi who would bring unity and balance to the Force, and requested permission of the Jedi Council to train the boy. Fearing Anakin's future to be clouded and uncertain, the Council refused.
As the nefarious scheme of the evil Darth Sidious reached its climax, Qui-Gon was killed in battle by the vile Sith Lord's apprentice, Darth Maul. Mindful of his beliefs Qui-Gon swore Obi-Wan to carry out his last wish, setting in motion a chain of events that would bring chaos, but ultimately peace, to the galaxy.
In Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, Qui-Gon's lightsaber was machined by the prop department from aluminum. Resin parts were cast and a rare, red aircraft button was added as decoration. Working directly from surviving props in the Lucasfilm archives, Master Replicas' engineers have crafted a copy of the hero version of the hilt from machined aluminum, featuring rich black anodized parts, never-before-seen details, and a red anodized button complete with the rare knurl of the original. Comes with printed display stand and vertical orientation. Includes certificate of authenticity. Measures 11" x 2" x 2".
