In the most exciting adventure yet, players will work to uncover the mastermind behind a series of unsolved thefts that have taken place in Venice -- one of the world's most unique cities known for its interlocking canals and sleek gondolas. In the 18th installment of the award-winning adventure series, the Italian police have asked Nancy Drew for help in unraveling a crime ring that is threatening to steal all of Venice's priceless artifacts. Assuming the role of Nancy, players arrive in Venice during Carnival and begin taking on a series of challenges, including an undercover spy mission for the Italian police. Along the way, players must take advantage of the unique Venetian culture such as learning the language and navigating the transportation system (gondola or walking) to accomplish the mission at hand. As the game progresses, the masked thief becomes bolder and players will need to correctly identify the phantom before he or she goes too far.
NICOLE Another Great Nancy Drew game! IF your like me you have probably played all the Nancy Drews games. (some probably more then once) but if not dont worry. The good thing about these games is you can start at any game and not feel like youve missed anything. Nancy Drew and The Phantom of Venice was a great game. I have to say out of the 18 games there are this one is in my top 5.The Story line is very exciting. An elusive phantom is stealing from Venice. He wears a mask and no one can seem to figure out who he (or she!) is! so thats why the police of Venice call on YOU as Nancy Drew to crack the case. Your undercover and ready to uncover all the secrets Venice has to offer. The characters are fun to talk to, the music is new and goes right along with the Venice theme, the puzzles and games are a challenge and the graphics have progressed so much in the last few games. If you cant wait for the game after this one there is a teaser about the next game after you finish this one...But im not going to tell you what it is! Thats something your have to sleuth out on your own!

Alexander P. Boyko Changes Make it Almost Unplayable I have been buying the NCAA football games for the past 7 years and always enjoyed each year's new edition. However, after playing NCAA 09, I am sorely disappointed and am ready to sell it. There are two major problems with the game that make it pretty much unplayable on defense. First, it is virtually impossible to rush the QB with defensive linemen or linebackers. I tried with various teams and always got stonewalled every time. The second, larger, problem is with the fact that the wide receivers pretty much catch every ball thrown to them, even in nickel and dime defensive sets. When Duke is able to complete 90% of their passes, something is not right. Anyway, these two flaws really make the game play not very fun at all and I'm suprised that it was not balanced better. I'm not ready to give up on the series yet, so I hope next year's edition will fix this issue and I'm hoping that the same problem does not occur with Madden 09.

Looks good on the box (all you'll notice is the small antenna sticking up in back). Just wish it was cheaper. I paid $75, seems a little expensive for what you get, but I wanted to go with the hassle-free, official, matching white solution. So, although the product works perfectly, I'm giving 4 stars because of the price.

Anh Nguyen Great design, as expected It's rather a given that first party controllers are the best choice for expanding your set. This wireless controller has shown no qualms in connection or reliability. It has performed as one would expect. I'm not sure what else can be said about it. It performs as well as the controller included with the system. The black color scheme is my preferred skin and it looks like quality overall.

Brandon A. Martin Rating the possibilities... Well, this isn't usually somethingthat I do, but that's just how much this game has already impressed me even without being released. I've been playing computer games for quite some time now and I consider myself an avid gamer. Some of my all-time favorites include Age of Empries 2: The Conquerors, Quake 3, Worms (and all subseqent sequels), Prey, Warcraft 3, Counter-Strike (the first one) and several others that I still play. I've always enjoyed the Sim City games and no one can deny that, at the time, the original Sim City was more groundbreaking then anything else on the market. This game is designed by the same brain, Will Wright. I can see SPORE being the same in our day and age as was Sim City, and then some! It encompasses the idea of advancement and evolution within a PC game more than anything else I've ever seen. Even though this game is barely BETA, the videos that I've found on the web showcasing it's possibilities are downright incredible. For those of you new to SPORE, here's a basic rundown of what this game is all about:
You begin in a world as basic as can be. You are nothing more than a single-cell microorganism that's only job is to feed and aviodother more powerful microorganisms. As you feed, you receive, from what I can tell, DNA points. At a certain amount of DNA points you hit the very first stage of evolution. You can then personally edit your organism to include certain things like extra flagelae to attack or different shape for speed, etc. All upgrades are your choice. You can even edit the shape and size of your parts. It's all up to you! Eventually, after 3-5 evolution "generations" you finally become a simple, multi-celled sea-creature. Again, as was originally, your main responsiblities are to eat and avoid the bigger predators. Same rules apply as before - you upgrade for a set number of generations until you CAN (if you choose) eventually evolve legs. From this point it really gets fun!
During the creature stage, which, to me, looks to be the most enjoyable portion of the game, the basic ideas still apply. However, now you have other functions and responsibilities. Not only do you eat and avoid predators, but you also need to do several other things in order to survive. First, find some friends. In other words you need to call out and find others of your species. If you successfully become part of a pack, you also must mate when you have enough DNA points. VERY IMPORTANT since you are no longer an asexual organism. So you mate, find a safe spot for a nest, you or your mate lays eggs for the next generation and then you wait for them to hatch. Not so fast, though! You have to protect your eggs from scavengers and predators too! If they survive long enough to hatch you finally get to edit your creature again. This portion of the editor is by far the most intricate and important. Do you give it claws? Fingers? Spikes? Longer arms? More legs? Or, if you are so lucky, a bigger brain? This goes on for 20 or so (from what I understand) generations. You slowly work your way up the food chain and become smart enough of a being to build a colony. On to the next portion of the game!
You now no longer play a first-person game, but an RTS! Both? You've got to be kidding! Nope. Your pack of creatures are now a small tribe of primitive "people". From here you need to focus on upgrades relating to weapons or trading or tools or what-have-you. Now, instead of editing your creature, you can personally edit your buildings and vehicles. So you upgrade your technologies and increase your intelligence until you begin to build cities. These cities compete (or trade) with other neighboring cities and you expand your territory...hopefully. If you are good enough, after some time you might take over the planet. Think you've won the game, eh? BEEP! Wrong! Your technology should be far along enough to build a spacecraft.
Now, what seems to be the farthest expanse of the game, you can travel from planet to planet and, eventually, from solar system to solar system. Thus, giving youthousands (eventually could be more depending on the following) of possible planets. What do you do? Attack other worlds to take them over? Maybe you want to befriend them and work together. You can impress a primitive species to think you're a God, or blast them and make them fearful. When you fly to other systems in space, they aren't just populated by the AI, they are other players broadcasting their civilizations across the WWW! So, by this point, if you choose, the game is no longer single player. The space race can last as long as you want since it has now taken the form of a MMORTS (Massively Multiplayer Online Real Time Stategy).
So, let's sum up:
This game is basically a single player First Person Shooter (while you're at the beginning stages), Role Playing (running as a creature trying to evolve), Real Time Stategy civilization builder and eventually an MMO exploration/domination game. Insanity...
I can't say enough for what I've seen so far. [..]

Though the global atomic war of 2077 left the US all but destroyed, the residents of Vault 101 enjoy a life free from the constant stress of the outside world. Giant Insects, Raiders, Slavers, and yes, even Super Mutants are all no match for superior Vault-Tec engineering. Yet one fateful morning, you awake to find that your father has defied the Overseer and left the comfort and security afforded by Vault 101 for reasons unknown. Leaving the only home you've ever known, you emerge from the Vault into the harsh Wasteland sun to search for your father, and the truth.

Technoboy THE BEST Firstly, yes, this game works great with Vista. Read my note at the end.
Great gameplay, great graphics, great depth (even by today's standards). Free online play.
If you want a deep online RPG experience but don't want the complexity of WoW, this is your game.
Still great after all these years. An RPG classic.
hint: if you are running vista, right-click on the icon after you install the game, and emulate windows xp. Also, upgrade to Diablo version 1.11 ASAP (just log onto [...] from inside the game and it will update automatically). Then the game should work great.
Complete with a charging cable and rechargeable battery pack, the Xbox 360 Play and Charge Kit is all you need to juice up your Xbox 360 Wireless Controller?even in the midst of battle.
J. Du works as described pros: long cable and easy to use. Can also plug into the USB port on the computer and have the drivers downloaded through windows update for charging through the computer.
cons: sometimes doesn't charge because not plugged in properly. removing from the controller requires pulling on the cable; don't know how long this will last.
