In the most exciting adventure yet, players will work to uncover the mastermind behind a series of unsolved thefts that have taken place in Venice -- one of the world's most unique cities known for its interlocking canals and sleek gondolas. In the 18th installment of the award-winning adventure series, the Italian police have asked Nancy Drew for help in unraveling a crime ring that is threatening to steal all of Venice's priceless artifacts. Assuming the role of Nancy, players arrive in Venice during Carnival and begin taking on a series of challenges, including an undercover spy mission for the Italian police. Along the way, players must take advantage of the unique Venetian culture such as learning the language and navigating the transportationsystem (gondola or walking) to accomplish the mission at hand. As the game progresses, the masked thief becomes bolder and players will need to correctly identify the phantom before he or she goes too far.
NICOLE Another Great Nancy Drew game! IF your like me you have probably played all the Nancy Drews games. (some probably more then once) but if not dont worry. The good thing about these games is you can start at any game and not feel like youve missed anything. Nancy Drew and The Phantom of Venice was a great game. I have to say out of the 18 games there are this one is in my top 5.The Story line is very exciting. An elusive phantom is stealing from Venice. He wears a mask and no one can seem to figure out who he (or she!) is! so thats why the police of Venice call on YOU as Nancy Drew to crack the case. Your undercover and ready to uncover all the secrets Venice has to offer. The characters are fun to talk to, the music is new and goes right along with the Venice theme, the puzzles and games are a challenge and the graphics have progressed so much in the last few games. If you cant wait for the game after this one there is a teaser about the next game after you finish this one...But im not going to tell you what it is! Thats something your have to sleuth out on your own!
C. Smallwood GTA 4 is addicting! Had freezing issues. Amazon.com is amazing! I can't wait to get home and play GTA 4. Such a well-rounded game and worth the purchase. I did have some of those freezing issues that some are having. However, Amazon.com didn't even hesitate and sent me another copy with 2-day shipping...I love Amazon.com If I have any problems with the new copy then I know Amazon will take care of it.

Alexander P. Boyko Changes Make it Almost Unplayable I have been buying the NCAA football games for the past 7 years and always enjoyed each year's new edition. However, after playing NCAA 09, I am sorely disappointed and am ready to sell it. There are two major problems with the game that make it pretty much unplayable on defense. First, it is virtually impossible to rush the QB with defensive linemen or linebackers. I tried with various teams and always got stonewalled every time. The second, larger, problem is with the fact that the wide receivers pretty much catch every ball thrown to them, even in nickel and dime defensive sets. When Duke is able to complete 90% of their passes, something is not right. Anyway, these two flaws really make the game play not very fun at all and I'm suprised that it was not balanced better. I'm not ready to give up on the series yet, so I hope next year's edition will fix this issue and I'm hoping that the same problem does not occur with Madden 09.

It also carries a custom ATI graphics processor loaded with 10 MB of embedded DRAM, 48-way parallel floating-point dynamically scheduled shader pipelines and Unified shader architecture. The unit has a 12x dual-layer DVD-ROM drive, which plays both the game media and progressive-scan DVD movies right out of the box. For game-save and media storage, users can choose between the detachable and upgradeable20GB hard drive, or a separately sold 64MB flash Memory Unit. Along with storing files, the hard drive will make the Xbox 360 backward-compatible with part of the existing Xbox game library.
Control your Gameplay Xbox 360 uses a refined button layout for its controllers. Back and Start buttons sit at the center of the controller and between them is a new Xbox Guide button, which instantly takes the user to the Xbox 360 user interface. From there, they can check for friends online, access personal digital content like photos and songs, and more. The black and white buttons of the first Xbox controllers have been replaced with new shoulder buttons placed above the left and right triggers. Xbox 360 can accommodate up to four wireless controllers and has three USB 2.0 slots to use for wired controllers or for streaming your digital media from digital cameras, MP3 players, and any Windows XP-based PC. Microsoft has also created a video-conferencing camera, sold separately, that will work with the system.
Xbox 360 can manage your games, your online friends, and your personal digital library
The Media Experience All Xbox 360 titles can be played in either standard or high-definition resolutionin 16:9 widescreen, with anti-aliasing for smoother graphics. Game designers will be able to take advantage of the system's multi-channel surround sound. The Xbox 360's digital media allows users to supplement any game's music from tracks in their own personal library.
Go Live A built-in Ethernet port allows users to connect their system to a broadband connection for access to Xbox Live. The Xbox Live Silver Membership included with the console lets anyone create a Gamertag and gamer card to express your online identity, chat live with voice chat, and connect to the Xbox Live Marketplace to buy expansions, maps, and other digital items for your games. You can also update to a Xbox Live Gold Membership at anytime for even more benefits. The separately sold wireless adapter supports the common 802.11a, -b, and -g standards.
N. G. Martin I love it! I have waited a long time to buy a 360, the bad reviews have put me off, so I have waited until now to hopefully buy a product that wont do a "Mission Impossible" and self destruct in 5 seconds!
I have had the unit for 2 weeks now and I am very impressed. It is so much better than the original Xbox it has replaced. First time on Xbox live also, how much fun is that, my son and I have had a blast playing Halo3 with people from all over the globe, it has opened up an entire new part to gaming that for me hadn't previously existed, what a rush, I wish I had done it years ago!
My only real complaint is the noise from the DVD drive, when this baby spins up it's like a vacuum cleaner running beside you, unacceptable really in this day and age that MS hasn't addressed this well know issue before today, such a pity because it spoils what is a wonderfully interactive and modern gaming experience that IMO is second to none. Also, the price of accessories are exorbitant, otherwise, I love the game play and highly recommend it.

Joseph C. Helton Excellent transition to console I'm a long time Civver, so I've played Civ on the PC for quite a few years. I knew that the game would have to be streamlined when I heard that it was coming to the console, and I was curious, and perhaps concerned as to how that would affect the game overall. I needn't have worried. The move to a version of Civ for consoles is worthwhile, and will no doubt bring a lot of new Civvers into the fold. From what I've heard the initial run of CivRev has sold out, so what does that tell you?
Anyways, from a long time Civ player and new console player, I can say that CivRev is an awesome game, and very fun to play, even for my kids who, before now, would never touch a game like this. For that reason alone the game is worthwhile.
I would even venture to say that after playing CivRev, that certain aspects of Civ4/BTS make more sense. That's how good they present game concepts to the player.
The debate still rages among hardcore Civvers as to the merits of CivRev, but I think anyone who enjoys a good game will really have fun with this one. 5 stars.

J. Klinsmith Pricey Flawless Solution This official 360 Wireless Adapter works flawlessly. Extremely simple to setup, I was connected in about 30 secs. Looks good on the box (all you'll notice is the small antenna sticking up in back). Just wish it was cheaper. I paid $75, seems a little expensive for what you get, but I wanted to go with the hassle-free, official, matching white solution. So, although the product works perfectly, I'm giving 4 stars because of the price.

Game developer Bungie announced that Halo 3 will be released for Microsoft's Xbox 360 sometime in 2007. The game was revealed to the world at the Microsoft press conference held at Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood, CA in May 2006. To gamer's delight, the announcement was a complete surprise. The rumors have been abound for the past year, as everyone wondered when the next installment would be ready. Bungie and Microsoft did a stellar job keeping their lips sealed, and fans benefited from their first glimpse of the hallowed third and final installment.
The short presentation was delivered in real-time on the Xbox 360 using the current version of the Halo 3 game engine. That's right, no studio production video, Bungie and Microsoft delivered the real deal: what they showed at the announcement is what gamers will see when they play Halo 3 in 2007. The HDR lighting, self-shadowing, GPU-run particle system and many other effects are rumored to show up in full effect in the final game. Needless to say, the gaming community is salivating.
CJ Cowan, Bungie's director of cinematics discussed one of the most startling moments of the presentation: the return of Cortana. "Given the variety of character and story arcs at the end of Halo 2, we wanted to boil down our announcement to a few key threads. Cortana and the Chief being a galaxy apart is a situation we haven't seen before, and is something that is a powerful component to Halo 3. We are using her transmissions in the demo to give the viewer a few subtle clues to her situation and state of mind, without revealing any specifics we want to save for the game itself."
Graphically, the game closely follows in the tradition of Halo 2, although it has been upgraded to take advantage of the Xbox 360's more prodigious visual abilities. As art direct Marcus Lehto explained, "[The presentation] was intended to be an understated announcement of Halo 3 -- the tone is that of mystery and suspense -- the calm before the storm. I wanted to make sure that we reintroduced the Chief, showed that Earth was thoroughly conquered, with Covenant everywhere, and that there is a glorious, ancient artifact buried under the Earth's crust which will provide Halo 3 with the epic journey which we all want."
Taking full advantage of the power of Xbox 360, Halo 3 expands on everything that has made the franchise great, adding a wealth of technical and gameplay advancements. The game design has evolved with next-generation, high-definition visuals, enhanced A.I., an advanced real-time lighting engine, and, of course, new weapons, characters, and challenges. Halo 3 promises an unparalleled first-person shooter experience and, in the end, the most compelling and engrossing story in the franchise's history. Last, but certainly not least, Halo 3 builds upon the unique social multiplayer experience and innovative, evolving online gameplay of Halo 2. Rest assured, you'll still be able to run with your clan and battle with (or against) your buddies from coast to coast.
Veronica Rodriguez Its all right In my opionon the game is not all that good . Its is a big let down for those who waited at the doors for it to come out. I mean people who have played Halo2 didnt really miss anything cause everything is the same. Except the stages suck and online is full of five year olds cussing thier mothes off.And achievments are so easy thats the only reason i played it for a week.

James Hollingsworth Best Online Service Available This is the best price on a great service. People complain that Live costs too much, but for less than $4 a month, I can't see any reason why anyone with an Xbox does not play online.

Patrick Carlin the game that keeps on giving As sad as it sounds, playing Rock Band is some of the most fun my wife and I have ever had. The band world tour mode is an absolute blast and the song selection is varied and excellent. I love making bands, personalizing my characters and having so many instrument options. My only complaint is that the equipment is cheap, which is why I gave it an overall rating of 4 instead of 5. I would give it 4 1/2 if that was an option. I've had a guitar and a drum set break and we weren't playing either of the items overly hard. However, customer service was excellent and both items were promptly replaced free of charge. Rock Band is also the game that keeps on giving via its downloadable songs. When we start to get bored of the game we order more songs and we're excited all over again. We can probably play this game for years without tiring of it as long as we can get new songs. I'll be ordering Rock Band 2 as soon as it's released.
