The best NCAA yet! The title says it all, 09 has BY FAR less glitches than previous years. Gone are the goofy "block an extra point or field goal about every single time" and "defender intercepts ball with his back turned" glitches. Graphics look better and the stadiumslook like the real deal. Touchdown celebration control and creating your own stadium sounds/music adds some extra fun as well. Animations are better and everything is more realistic.
One huge thing I do miss though in 09 is the screen shake at tough stadiums, which is gone, and I miss the Louisville Cardinals no longer being ranked and no longer being one of the toughest stadiums. We had one bad year...c'mon! :(

Huge upgrade This is a significant upgrade for the PS3 from NCAA 08, so if you are debating whether to buy the new version my answer is "Most definitely, buy this version". The player control is smoother, greater attention to detail with the stadiums, crowds, etc, and the mascot challenge is an enjoyable break from the action. From the moment I broke it out of the plastic I haven't been able to put it down. Once you have configured the game for your team, there are even unique pictures for that particular team that you will recognize if you went to that particular school.
One minor glitch I have noticed is that occasionally when reviewing your play call on the field, the receiver routes will get all wavy (best way I know how to describe it) and the receiver designation will appear as a question mark, rather than circle or square. I'm thinking this is a memory writing issue with the game as it goes away with the next play called. Add a Review

Can you say 2008 NCAA Football? WTF? Its no better than 2008 which imo is the best game. Save your money and get 2008 NCAA Football. 09 is not even and upgrade - its the same game play. Add a Review

Awful, unfortunately Unfortunately, the controls stink... As others have hit on, the graphics are awful. To give an example - all helmets have the numbers on the helmets, even if they don't in real life. When the camera zooms in, you can see the outline of the number, even though the interior of its ever so faintly camouflaged the same color as the rest of the helmet. The graphics aren't even on par with PS2's 2003 version. No support for the classic controller or GC controller. Add a Review

NCAA Football 09? How bout 1993 One of the main reasons i purchased a PSP was for NCAA Football on the go! I was lucky enough to get a copy of 07 that didnt have the rushing glitch in it. I had so much fun with 07 because it was practically identical to the Ps2 or xbox release, So i waited and waited for EASports to release the new one.
Well I bought it the first day it was out. Fired it up set all my settings, deleted my 07 files, and took the time to load the Penn State and Alabama teams. Well i fired up the Dynasty mode and started with PSU. the game started and at first glance i was like OK!!! but then it happened! it showed an endzone shot from the top of Beaver Stadium! IT IS THE OLD STADIUM!!!! How could this happen? How long has it been? i played for awhile, just sick over what i had seen, hoping that would be it, well it wasnt! During gameplay the band is playing right along well until you score the first touchdown and then not another peep the rest of the game. I played 8 games started a season over with Alabama and the same thing happened! College football without the bands? i played on hoping things would kick into gear, then it hit me! NO AUTO REPLAYS! what the heck.
I can say the uniforms are nice, especially playing in the dome @ Syracuse, the Orange's new uni's were pretty nice and well done! But the field surfaces look like your playing PS1 back in 93!
Needless to say i turned it off, thru it up on ebay and took a $10 hit! Reloaded some rosters on my 07 and im back to good football. outdated players but SUPERIOR GAMEPLAY and PRESENTATION! EA really gave us the shaft on this one. They missed the mark big time.
Some will like but most should see the flaws! When i throw a touchdown to Derrick Williams i want to see it again and have Brad Nessler tell me how nice it was WITHOUT seeing a banner in Beaver Stadium that says CLASS OF 1993! UNREAL!
