While Wii Music is not for everyone, children in the 3 to 10 year old range love the game.  Most reviews of this game by adults felt it was condescending in ways that it essentially becomes and expensive imaginary instrument.   For children, the game is quite the contrary.   They enjoy the ease of use to imitate music play and create their music. 

The games section of Wii Music introduces the child to simple music theory.  Kids will learn such things as tone, tempo, beat, notes, harmony and how it all comes together to make music.  The game is a superb introduction to music for children. 

Every child wants to be a conductor of an orchestra and Wii Music allows them to do so with the Maestro game where they conduct a full orchestra to unlock new songs and work on their musical rythm.

While adults may look down on this game, any child will love this under their Christmas tree this year.
