One of the things I hear consistently from those who played the Age of Conan PVP weekend was the amount of bugs they encountered.  Since I didn't play the game, I'm not going to report on hearsay, but here is some decent evidence for the Age of Conan conspiracy theorists predicting a potentially dismal launch.

There is talk on many message boards that things look like they're shaping up to be yet another lackluster release following in the footsteps of Vanguard, Tabula Rasa, Hellgate London and who can forget the last Funcom blunder, Anarchy Online.

At the time these bugs were noticed there was still about 30 days left to go before the gates to Age of Conan open.  Only time will tell whether or not Age of Conan will shine in the major news sources (which we know they probably will regardless) or whether the game will shine in the back alleys of the internet ghetto in forums and blogs tearing the game from limb to limb.

Bug #1: Lighting Bugs
In this first video you see a lighting bug that occurs in Blood Ravine.  It's similar to some of the lighting bugs seen at Everquest 2 and Vanguard launch.  

 

Bug #2:  Walls don't really matter
One of the more popular AoC bugs from the PVP weekend was the one where you can hop through the edge of the cliff and gank people from below.  Falling through the world and killing people is nothing new.  Some of the best.. and of course most of the worst MMORPG's have had this issue at one point or another.  Here is the same bug with Benny Hill added to it.  Putting the Benny Hill theme in anything that fails instantly makes it not fail.

Bug #3: Wall Hacking Gone Wrong
Using the same "Fall through the World" trick you can see in this video that it doesn't always go as intended and has some major falling through world issues similar to the one in Vanguard.   Of course in when it happened in Vanguard, you had to restart the game and sometimes call for GM help.

Bug #4: The shadows are chasing me!
I'm not sure what to think of this one.  It's new territory when it comes to MMO bugs as far as I know.  At the start, there are multiple shadows from nowhere and who knows what the hell to call it at the end.
