EA Sports boss Peter Moore says the publisher will continue to enjoy sales dominance over its rivals, including Activision Blizzard.
Consumers get a chance to vote at the cash registers, and what we’re seeing is that our games are as popular as ever,” Moore told MCV, confidently predicting that EA would see out 2008 as the top third party publisher. “This is an area in which Activision-Blizzard really can’t compete with us.”
However, with Moore’s division expected to contribute a significant proportion of EA’s forecast $6 billion in sales in fiscal 2011, he acknowledged that EA Sports needs to start appealing to audiences outside of the US gaming hardcore.
