In early preparation of the imminent Starcraft II and Diablo 3 network zerg, Blizzard will be optimizing their online matchmaking portal, Battle.Net, to add new features and accomodate network play. Here are some of the additions posted on DIII.net:
- Excellent Ping
- Channels and Chat in-game
- Extended stats, with possibility to see who disconnects and more
- Anonymous/Auto match making
- Avatars, Icons, Images representing Battle.Net Players
- Friends List, Ban List, Clan Support, Tourneys
- Diablo III hardcore mode (WTB Cow Level)
Diablo III and Starcraft II, developed by Blizzard, will be both out "when it's ready" for the PC and Macintosh platforms. Check out the latest vids of the titles after the cut.
