The non-profit scientific and educational institute, National Geographic, would like to take a stab at video games.
And why not? As video games are surpassing movies as the #1 entertainment medium, it could be a huge payola for the veteran nature documentary producer.
NG's first game, Herod's Lost Tomb is already available on Mac, iPhone and Windows. Games such as Sudoku Traveler: China; National Geographic: Africa; and From The Bottom Up are coming up.
It is a bit puzzling, however, that NG will develop for Mac and iPhone specifically. Do they have a product placement deal with Apple?
