Yoga mat is a must I purchased this yoga mat thinking it would be different from the one I already owned. I thought it might be thicker or have something on it to protect it from getting damaged by the balance board. I was wrong. Any yoga mat will work fine. I've tried using my balance board without a yoga mat once and it was hard. I have carpet and I was sliding all over. I think having any brand of yoga mat is essential. This yoga mat is nice. It's not thin like some cheap ones are. I would recommend this one.If you can find a nice mat for a better price, get it instead.
