REVIEW
Useless The only benefit of using this guide is that it's portable. It is vague and the page order doesn't exactly follow story order. The guide doesn't give any pokedex info, which IMO is the most important part of the game. Instead it focuses on general aspects of the storyline, contests, battling, and other parts of the game that are explained IN THE GAME.
There is no reason to buy this book, instead, buy the second volume/pokedex of the guide. If you get stuck in these games, instead of wasting your money on this vague and confusing guide, go to Google and search for "Pokemon Diamond Walkthrough"
The fourth generation of the franchise, Diamond and Pearl, debuted in Japan in 2006, and is the most successful Pok - mon release since the original series, selling more than 10 million video game units worldwide (and 3.4 million units in the U.S. since its 2007 debut).
* Fully details all 482 + available Pokemon. Providing stats, levels, learned moves, and more. * Exclusive Poster - The Pokédex will include an exclusive poster for fans. * Strategy Included - In addition to complete information for each individual Pokémon, this guide will include strategy for keeping, collecting, and raising the creatures in your collection.
REVIEW
Great reference At first when I bought this I thought it was going to just sit around, but as my son played through Pokemon Diamond he started referring to it more and more. The best description of it now is "very worn".
The fact that every pokemon is listed along with where it can be obtained is its best selling point. The book is really geared for after you've completed the game portion and are working on "catching them all".
You could probably find all of the information in this book online, but not in one location. Having it there to refer to while playing is easily worth the cost.
Covers less than 40% of the game It covers up to battles with Elite 4 and Champion. There is a lot more to exploreand catch after that. One could say that the game becomes more interesting after beating the champion. Get a lot more information from online guides. Search for "pokemon diamond faq" using google.
For the part it covers, the guide is reasonably well organized and helpful.
The manga series tie-in to the newest generation of the Pokémon collection!
Set in the country Sinnoh, the story follows the adventures of Hareta, a young boy raised in the wild with Pokémon. Recruited by Prof. Rowan, he decides to become a Pokémon trainer after catching his first tame one, Piplup. He and the Professor's assistant, Mitsumi, set off on a quest to find Dialga, one of the three "Legendary" Pokémon, which is rumored to be able to control time. But Team Galactic, lead by villainous Cyrus, is hunting for Dialga too.
REVIEW
Pokemon Although it's a manga series targeted for kids around 9 to 12, I actually enjoyed the panels and dialogue. Not to mention all the amazingly funny scenes there were. (Hareta biting the grunt's butt) This first volume definitely had me wanting more from this author. I can't wait for the third volume to come out!

Kids can organize their stickers by type with the fact boxes in the book, or use the extra easy-peel stickers to decorate their own folders.
REVIEW
Great for Poke'finatics! My son just loves this book. The stickers are removeable (great for unsteady hands that don't exactly stick things down right the first try). Much to our surprise, there are a lot of extra stickers too for him to stick everywhere. Nice price too.

New friends, new lands, and all-new Pokémon-the next chapter of one of the greatest adventures! Most kids spend their days at school, but not Hareta. Raised in the wild by Pokémon, he can climb as high as an Aipcom, swim as fast as a Magikarp, and even eat bark like a Bidoof!

Not as good as the Prima guide in my opinion As stated in other reviews, this pokedex does not include information on where to get the pokemon on the pages. That information is found in Volume 1 - the game guide by Nintendo Power or on the back of the pullout map in this pokedex. I found flipping back and forth between the two books to be quite cumbersome and that map... it's not going to last long if you keep using it by pulling it out and laying it out. Not to mention that it is just as inconvenient. References should have information easily accessible, and not just there for you to hunt it down.
See my review on the Prima Pokedex for more information, but I much prefer that version compared to this one. All the information on the pokemon is much more conveniently organized (and more in depth) in Prima's version than in this pokedex.
