It wasn't broken, but now it's a bit dated The saying 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' would have been a fair response when deciding what to do with the next gen Playstation controller, and Sony seems to have agreed for the most part. The PS2 Dual Shock controller was easily the best design of any of its competitors. Unfortunately, Microsoft's mild tweaks to the Xbox controller were brilliant, and Sony's few additions were useless except for the wireless capability, and it even took them a while to get around to bringing back the rumble feature.
Microsoft smartly resisted overhauling their controller and recognized how to perfect the basic design by downsizing, rounding off some hard edges, and moving the black and white buttons as well-sized, nimbly responsive shoulder buttons. The PS3 controller is still a fine controller, and the best one for the Playstation, but Microsoft stepped out of character and actually made a brilliantly improved product (along with the Xbox itself) that now has, to my mind, taken the throne as best designed controller.
This controller coupled with a nice rubbery silicon covering for it makes it the perfect controller for the PS3, just avoid the Six-axis use whenver you can -- more gimmick than benefit. Add a Review

Very Easy to Use This product is very easy to use and makes it easy when using the PS3 to watch blu-ray movies. This product also is something that doesnt go through batteries and you dont have to turn it on and off like u do with the actual remote controls unless u want to charge ur controller every 8 or so hours. This is my 2nd one i have bought since my first one was stolen from me but i would def recommend this to anyone who uses the PS3 to watch blu-ray movies. Add a Review
Zergwatch:The Star Wars saga will continue in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, a videogame developed by LucasArts, which casts players as Darth Vader's "Secret Apprentice" and promises to unveil new revelations about the Star Wars galaxy. The expansive story, created under direction from George Lucas, is set during the largely unexplored era between Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. In it, players will assist the iconic villain in his quest to rid the universe of Jedi - and face decisions that could change the course of their destiny.

As its name implies, The Force Unleashed completely re-imagines the scope and scale of the Force by taking full advantage of newly developed technologies that will be seen and experienced for the first time: Digital Molecular Matter (DMM), by Pixelux Entertainment, and euphoria by NaturalMotion Ltd. Paired with the powerful Havok Physics™ system, these new technologies create gameplay only possible on the new generation of consoles. DMM incorporates the physical properties of anything in the environment so that everything reacts exactly like it should - wood breaks like wood, glass shatters like glass, plants on the planet Felucia bend like plants on the planet Felucia would, and more. Meanwhile, as a revolutionary behavioral-simulation engine, euphoria enables interactive characters to move, act and even think like actual human beings, adapting their behavior on the fly and resulting in a different payoff every single time.
Game Features:
During the period between Episodes III and IV, players hunt Jedi in the role of Darth Vader's Secret Apprentice.
Unleash and upgrade the Secret Apprentice's four core Force powers - Force push, grip, repulse and lightning - throughout the course of the game, and combine them for ultra-destructive, never-before-seen combos.
Examples of unleashing the Force in ways never thought possible:
The Secret Apprentice won't just Force push enemies into walls - he'll Force push enemies through walls.
The Secret Apprentice won't just Force grip foes to throw them aside - he'll Force grip them in midair, zap them with lightning, then drop them to the ground to explode like a bomb.
In addition to new adversaries created just for the game, such as fugitive Jedi and Force-sensitive Felucians, players will also confront and associate with familiar faces from the Star Wars films, including Darth Vader.
Visit locations such as Episode III's Wookiee homeworld Kashyyyk and the floral Felucia, the junk planet Raxus Prime, plus an Imperial TIE fighter construction facility.
The Force Unleashed is LucasArts' first internally developed title for next-generation consoles, and it represents the first in-game collaboration of talents and technology between LucasArts and Industrial Light & Magic, two companies now finally under one roof at the newLetterman Digital Arts Center in San Francisco's Presidio district.
The Force Unleashed debuts Digital Molecular Matter from Pixelux and euphoria behavioral simulation from NaturalMotion Ltd.
LucasArts is preparing an unprecedented promotional effort around the launch of The Force Unleashed, encompassing a full line of toys and game-based action figures from Hasbro, as well as a full publishing program from Dark Horse, Del Rey and Palace Press.
Meet the Cast The Star Wars Saga will continue in 2008 with LucasArts' biggest-ever video game event. Set during the "dark times" between Episodes III and IV, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed portrays the previously untold story of Darth Vader's Secret Apprentice -- and now you can put a face to that mysterious character as well as the major supporting cast members as LucasArts unveils the actors set to star in The Force Unleashed.
The New Technology of The Force Unleashed With The Force Unleashed, LucasArts not only introduces a new chapter in the Star Wars saga, but also two completely new and innovative technologies -- Digital Molecular Matter by Pixelux Entertainment and euphoria by NaturalMotion Ltd. These groundbreaking technologies combine with Havoc physics to create true next-gen gameplay and the Force like it's never been seen or experienced before.
REVIEW
Exceeded my expectations... I had my reservations about purchasing this game; these reservations were quickly dispelled when I began playing the opening chapter as Darth Vader.
If you're a Stars War fan of any degree then you should get this game. The use of The Force is exceptional and fairly intuitive after a few minutes of use or so. The game is short (less than 10 hours of gameplay), but highly entertaining. Gorgeous graphics, top notch voice acting, and fantastic cut scenes.
I think what's often overlooked is the entertainment value of using the light saber, quite fun. There are a few camera angle issues at some points, and there are several stages in the game where there is no clear direction on where to go, and you end up wasting time searching foran obvious objective-tedious, to say the least.
The best element of the game is when you have a soldier hanging helplessly in the air, and see/watch them beg for their lives and or yelp in sheer terror. And by far the best part of the game is when you pull down an entire Star Destroyer-awesome.
A very good game, not great. But worth playing, and relishing in all of its Star Wars splendor. Add a Review
Shallow, sub-par game... This game is bad. I can't believe I spent 60 bucks on it. Thankfully, I was able to sell it for about half of that.
Story: The story of the game isn't half bad. It follows an immigrant named Nico through Liberty City on his quest for the "American Dream". Along with his cousin and several friends he meets along the way, he obtains his goal. Its a great idea in theory, but when put in this game, it goes downhill. Which brings me to the next part.
Gameplay: The missions are boring. They are repetitive. Drive here, kill this guy, take his stuff, drive back. That is about 85% of what you do in the missions. The other 15% is drive here, kill a lot of guys, drive back. The gun-play is spot on, however the lack of weapons is a disappointment. Like some have stated, the driving is pretty bad. Its easier once you play for a while, but starting out, it is unforgiving. The side quests are VERY horrible. "Hangingout" with friends is not my idea of a good video game. I don't want a girlfriend. I just want to wreak havoc.
Graphics: The graphics are great. Nice gritty feel to the city. Textures are decent for such a huge game. Very minimal pop-in as well.
Music: Grand Theft Auto is well known for its diverse sound track and this game is no different. Several radio stations will keep you happy. However, I would always turn the radio off because you could never hear any dialogue when you were in the car.
Fun: So is the game fun? If you can take pleasure in doing the same thing over and over again, both in story mode and just in messing around, then you might find it fun. I wanted to like this game, but it was just to shallow. I actually did finish the story and could not bring myself to kill those 200 flying rats. What was the point? A shiny helicopter? Big deal.
Multiplayer: Decent. Never played it a whole lot as there are much better multiplayer games out there.
Bottom Line: I can't even recommend a rent for this game. The nine bucks it cost nowadays could be put to better use. Unless you have something like gamefly. Then by all means, be my guest. I tried to talk two of my friends out of buying it (one has a PS3 and the other a 360) and they both bought it...And they both are now regretting it. They said the exact same things I did. Boring and repetitive. Add a Review

Zergwatch:Building a better system from the ground up sometimes involves digging into even the most mundane components. Take memory cards, for instance. To provide larger storage capacity and faster access rates--PlayStation2 cards transfer data 200 times faster than cards for the original PlayStation--PlayStation2 developers have upgraded the technology for the new memory card. The 8 MB Memory Card uses Flash Memory, the storage technology that's revolutionizing handheld computers, digital cameras, and MP3 players. In contrast, the 128 KB memory cards that were designed for the original PlayStation use memory blocks. While large files can spill over several blocks, you can't store more than one file per block in that design, no matter how small the file. The 8 MB Memory Card allieviates that problem by organizing and storing files much more like a computer hard disk.
REVIEW
Quality memory card I have had many video game systems, and only once made the mistake of using a 2nd party memory unit.
I have used the same 2 memory cards for over 6 years now, and never had one problem. Sony makes high quality peripherals for their game systems, and there is no reason to not take advantage of everything they have perfected. Add a Review
