In this first-person shooter you will find yourself taking aim at a formidable army of dinosaurs while saving children, freeing prisoners, blowing up enemy ammo dumps, and more. Expect to devote a significant chunk of time to this title: the estimated completion time for this game is 45 hours, which rivals The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time in game size. A GAME THAT IS STILL FUN AND NEEDS TO BE REMADE ON PS2!!!! I CANT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS GAME. I HAVE BEEN ALL OVER THE WEB PRAISING IT SINCE THEFIRST DAY I GOT A COMPUTER. IF YOU ARE A TRUE GAMER, AND ENJOY A CHALLENGE, THAT NEEDS NOT JUST SKILL WITH A CONTROLLER, BUT INTELLIGENCE, THEN, THIS IS THE GAME FOR YOU. I HAVE YET TO PLAY A GAME THAT HAS SOOOOOO MUCH PACKED IN IT. YOU HAVE TO GIVE THE GAME A CHANCE. I WOULD NOT TRADE MINE FOR ANYTHING IN THIS WORLD. IT IS SUPERB AND IS COMPARABLE WITH ALL THE NEW PS2 GAMES OUT THERE. I PERSONALLY THINK IT IS BETTER, AND SHOULD SET THE STANDARD FOR ALL FPS. THE WORLDS ARE VAST, AND WONDERFUL TO EXPLORE. THE CHEATS MAKE THE GAME MORE FUN BECAUSE EVEN WITH THEM YOU HAVE TO BE SMART. YOU HAVETO HAVE GREAT RECALL. I PUT IT UP AGAINST ANY GAME OUT THERE. THE MUSIC IS GREAT, THE LEVELS ARE HUGE AND AWESOME. YOU GET A LOT OF GAME FOR THE MONEY. IT TAKES HOURS TO PLAY AND YOU WILL NOT BEAT IT IN ONE DAY, ESPECIALLY WITHOUT THE CHEATS. FOR THOSE WHO THINK THEY CAN, I DARE YOU TO TRY. HA, YOU WONT GET PAST LEVEL THREE. THE CHEATS ACTUALLY ENHANCE THE GAME PLAY AND YOU HAVE A LOT OF THEM. AS I SAID BEFORE, YOU GET A LOT OF GAME FOR THE MONEY. IT IS FAR BETTER THAN TUROK EVOLUTION..WHEN THEY MADE THIS GAME..THEY OUT DID THEMSELVES. MY HAT IS OFF TO THE GENIOUS'S THAT DID TUROK SEEDS OF EVIL..EXCELLANT. BE PATIENT, GIVE IT A CHANCE, AND DONT THINK THE FIRST LEVEL IS THE WAY THE WHOLE GAME IS,,..EVERY LEVEL/WORLD IS VASTLY DIFFERENT..AND IN SOME PARTS SCARY. Amazon.com ReviewLet's start with the good news--Turok 2: Seeds of Evil throws hordes of superbly animated evil mutants and overevolved dinosaurs into the range of an arsenal that makes other games' weapon collections look like lonely baseball bats hanging on a beat-up pickup truck's rifle rack. Start with a battle-claw for hand-to-hand combat and a bow and arrow for longer shots, then move up to plasma rifles and a heat-seeking missile launcher. Since you can't fire heat-seeking missiles underwater, Turok 2 has specialized SEAL-style weapons, such as a harpoon gun and concussion torpedoes. When mere human-sized weapons aren't enough, saddle up on the back of a friendly dinosaur and charge into battle, firing a dino-mounted 20mm cannon.
Want more good news? OK. Unlike many first-person shooter games, Turok 2 provides its bad guys with decent artificial intelligence. You may have to dodge mutants working together to set up a crossfire, or run down enemies who are too smart to just step in front of your weapons. And while you're shooting all the evil monsters and tracking down cowards who flee from your big guns, you'll enjoy well-rendered scenery from five different worlds.
If this sounds great to you, and you enjoy exploring strange alien environments and shooting nearly everything that moves, you'll enjoy Turok2.
But there are some problems that might prevent you from enjoying it completely. The biggest annoyance is that the game's excellent artificial intelligence isn't matched by intelligent-level design. This is one of those games that requires you to search every corner to find the key you need to unlock the door on the other side of the honeycomb of tunnels. You'll need to use the game's mapping tools to make sure you've looked behind each big door for the small clues and behind each small barrel for the big clues. If you're a master of the Zen of Just-Wandering-Around, Turok 2 won't bother you; but if you're the type of gamer who wants to feel a sense of urgency or a sense that your actions are meshing with a larger story, you may end up tapping your fingers and thinking about other challenges. --Rob Heinsoo

Quite an intense in depth game. Personally, I thought Turok 2 was an awesome game. The graphics were very good, the sound effects were good, and the music was by far some of the best Acclaim has come out with. This game has some sweet levels. Most are very large and take quite some time to explore. And with levels like The Hive, you feel like you're actually there. Extremely gripping and intense. As some have said, there aren't the tons and tons of monsters to blow away around every corner, but if you want a game like that, play DOOM. In Turok 2, the monsters are a little more realistic. Hordes and hordes of monsters isn't realistic, but a group of about 2 or 3 waiting in ambush around a corner is. Very well done. I've played it through several times and I enjoyed it every time.
