REVIEW
Feels great, as long as it lasts... which usually isnt long Due to Microsoft/Sony wanting to sell first party controllers, most 3rd party controllers have very little support from the console makers. This results in 95% of 3rd party controllers being absolute junk.
The pelican wireless controllers on the other hand have a very sturdy build and feel fantastic out of the box. The extra bumper buttons (Black and white buttons placed on the Bumper area found on the 360) make it even more user friendly than controller S
The problem I have had w/ all 4 pelican controllers I have bought over the years is eventually the analog sticks register wrong. As in the without pushing the stick in any direction, the signal sends as pressing in some direction.
obviously this ruins 95% of games as being still is very important in action/FPS etc....
My logitech XBOX controller has yet to have this problem
The Blade Wireless Controller for Xbox features a new 2.4GHz smart-play technology, allowing a "no-worry" operating environment for the gamer. No worry as to power, channels, signal or performance - it truly is the next levelin wireless.
REVIEW
Goood controller! Highly recommended! I'm thinking of buying another one of these Pelican wireless controllers... This thing has a great feel in your hands. It has a slightly rough, rubbery coating all over that is really cool. Problem is, it will eventually get nicked or something & begin to peel off little by little, so you will want to handle it gently all the time. This is why I give it only 4 stars. Even without that nice rubbery coating, it's still a good item to own & use. This controller is very sturdy, balanced with a good weight to it & it is well made. Much prefferable to use over the Logitech wireless, no question. This Pelican is shaped exactly like the real Xbox controller you know & love. One of the best features is the fact it has an extra set of the Xbox black button & white button on the "shoulders" of the controller, that area where the PS2 has it's own 2nd set of triggers & the Xbox360 also has it's additional triggers. That's where Microsoft should have put the black & white buttons in the first place. Sure makes a difference. The the black & white buttons that are in the normal location stick up a bit higher on this controller than they do on the Microsoft version, so they are easier to use... The vibration feature works well, battery life is good. I will say that there seems to be a tiny bit of lag when you are using it that's not noticeable at all in most gaming situations, and this controller may not be 100% as acurate as a wired controller. But again, this seems like a small matter more often than not, and may be something that all wireless controllers tend to suffer from.
"Very nice if you get it at a reasonable price." I payed under $20 for mine brand new. I was fully, highly satisfied with it. It is solidly built. The weight & shape & feel are pretty much equal to the Microsoft Xbox S controler. The vibration is spot-on & the joysticks & buttons are proper. The camoflage versions are covered in a rubbery coating that feels great to hold on to. The black & white buttons (always a controversial & problematic issue) stick up higher than the Microsoft model, so they are easiery to use.
Plus, there are two EXTRA black & white buttons on this controler, on the "shoulders" above your right & left triggers. Do you understand what I mean? The black & white buttons are where they SHOULD be on this product. Why did Microsoft wait to make their 360's control pad to do this???
The only problem I have with this thing is lag. There is a tiny bit of lagging when you move or mash a button, but that will have little effect on pretty much anything you are playing. However I only use corded controls to play "Halo" or for online "Far Cry" matches. In racing games this one works fine for me.
