The Big Bad Wolf has nothing on these sturdy cardboard blocks. They're easy to assemble, and they're lightweight so even the youngest builders can construct their dream home. Bright colors mean endless combinations. Blocks come in several different sizes. Includes 40 blocks.

REVIEWWhat Fun!
I bought these for my daughter & then as gifts for several friends' kids. We love these blocks! A little daunting when you 1st start putting them together, but they go pretty fast when you the hang of it. And they're very sturdy! My daughter stands on them without a problem! She loves for her daddy to build a tall tower so she can run through it & crash it down around her!

Title: LeapFrog® ClickStart My First Computer - Green
Price: Check Pricing & Availability
ESRBRating:
Suggested Retail Price: $40.00

LeapFrog's ClickStart My First Computer is the first preschool learning system featuring a desktop experience that looks and works like a grownup PC. The ClickStart platform turns any TV into a child's first computer, simultaneously introducing core preschool skills and basic computer functionality. A friendly green puppy named Scout accompanies little ones on their learning journeys, appearing on the wireless keyboard with automatic shut-off as well as in onscreen games and activities.

Rich with content, ClickStart My First Computer offers exciting games as well as engaging software applications that work together to help kids earn treats for their friend Scout. Includes wireless keyboard with automatic shut-off, cartridge based console, child-sized mouse and right or left hand adjustable mouse pad. Requires 4 "AA" batteries and 4 "C" batteries (not included). Measures 16" x 8".

REVIEWGood Idea, needs work
The difficulty level is about right for my 3 year old. She likes to play with this and it has been educational but there are a few problems. The mouse pad is too small for the mouse and the cord is really stiff, both can make the game a little frustrating for her. The keyboard is supposed to turn off after 5 min., but I have walked into the room and seen the light flashing on the keyboard when no one has been around for hours. We got this for christmas and I have already went through 3 sets of batteries. My daughter has probably only played on it for 10 hours total. Now the base unit won't turn on or off right away, you have to try a few times to get it to work. I think it's a great idea but there might be something similar out there that has a better design. I wished I would have shopped around more before I bought this.

Power up the learning! Simply plug the adapter into your ClickStart My First Computer Console and AC wall outlet, and get plugged into educational fun.

REVIEWDoes what it is supposed to.
This plugs in to the ClickStart so that you don't have to run it with batteries. Amazon wouldn't leave me alone about reviewing it, so here it is. It works great, didn't need directions or anything. The darn thing just plugs in to the ClickStart on the one end with the single connection and in to the wall outlet - you know...the electrical socket that has the three holes in it? - from the other end. Amazing! Couldn't live without it!

Suggested Retail Price: $5.95

3 years & up. This lively, classically illustrated farm puzzle isa great way for children to develop eye hand coordination, vocabulary skills and to just have fun. 24 heavy-grade laminated cardboard pieces create a big beautiful barnyard scene that's perfect for playing 'I Spy'. 36" x 24".

REVIEWThe Large Barnyard Floor Puzzle
The large floor puzzles by Melissa and Doug are great for little kids anywhere from the ages of 3-6 years ofage provided you keep with the concept of buying these attractive large floor puzzles that have less than 50 pieces...ideally 30 to 40 pieces would be an excellent puzzle, toy, and learning experience for young children. A little older children, or children very familiar with puzzles, may be interested in the larger floor puzzles that have close to 100 pieces. But little boys certainly love the large fire truck, the barnyard/farm puzzle, and the Underwater scene. Would highly recommend but let the children figure it out and not the parents.

REVIEWExcellent product!!
My 9-year old daughter and I have had a wonderful experience with this puzzle. She started out using the numbers on the back of the pieces, but I convinced her to use her regular puzzle skills to assemble the globe. We've both learned a thing or two about geography! I chose the Ravensburger brand because of its quality and durability; I wasn't disappointed. I definitely recommend this product to others.

The circle of life is represented here at this watering hole on the Savannah. Reveal a dramatic African scene as you assemble this 100-piece cardboard floor puzzle. Over four feet long, the extra-thick pieces are 20% thicker than other puzzles. It's easy-to-clean surface keeps the puzzle looking new for years to come. Measures 6.7" x 6.5" x 4.7".

REVIEWGreat puzzle
My 5 yr old son received it as aChristmas gift. My son always likes puzzles. He needs some help in the first few times. After that, he memorizes all the locations and did it himself. I think for a 5 yr old, the kid needs to have some patience to put together a 100 piece. The puzzle itself is very well made with beautiful colors. It's fun to play with and pleasant to look at. Recommended.

HotWheels.Com Turbo Driver Controller

Title: HotWheels.Com Turbo Driver Controller
Price: Check Pricing & Availability
ESRBRating:
Suggested Retail Price: $21.99

Interactive Hot Wheels fun! Race your friends! Shift your Hot Wheels experience into gear!
The HotWheels.com Turbo Driver is an online game controller that gives boys access to Race The World, an exclusive racing game, and also works with more than 20 cool games hosted on HotWheels.com. The player works with 8 different Car-Tridge vehicles. One Car-Ttridge comes with the controller, the other 7 are sold separately. Each Car-Tridge, when loaded into the controller, shows up on screen and enables a boy to race with all the attributes of that exact car. Each car works best in oneof 8 environments in the game, so choose the best Car-Tridge and conquer each level of the game to become the ultimate extreme racer.

REVIEWGood idea, but could be better developed
First, this item only works on Windows 2000/XP/Vista with at least 800MHz (1.3GHz recommended) processor and 1 GB of hard drive space. I am testing this wtih a 3.2GHz processor and 250GB hard drive. Beware: Mac users cannot use this.

The packaging is quite superb--everything is securely wrapped, but is also easily removed with a perforated plastic backing. No more cut fingers or cursing when trying to cut open some really hard plastic case.

You must first install the CD that comes with the "game." While the CD installs quickly, the online update/web activation is EXTREMELY SLOW. It took over 20 minutes to download the online update--important note, you cannot play the game without downloading the update.

In addition to the CD, you have a car-holding handgrip, which allows the user to play the game. It is akin to the original Sega or Nintendo controllers with a directional pad onthe left and two buttons on the right. The packaging says the game is for 3+ year olds, but the game insert says it's for 5+ year olds. My 3.5 year old's hands cannot hold the controller, but it does fit comfortably in mine (I'm 6 ft tall with appropriate sized hands).

The game itself has a pretty good sound to it, and the graphics are equivalent to perhaps an old school Sega. It's probably catchy for a younger user (definitely corny to an old guy like me). The load screen transfers are also EXTREMELY SLOW, taking more than 15 seconds to transfer from selection screen to selection screen. Beware if you choose to go to the wrong screen--it takes forever to get back where you wanted to go.

For those of you old timers, it's much like an updated version of Atari's Grand Prix. A nice touch for the younger ones is that you cannot fall off the race course unless you go into a trap, so if you don't have good hand-eye coordination, you'll still stay on the track.

The two buttons don't have any instruction, but green is for go, and red is for go backwards. It works to slow down and eventually stop if you time it right, but if you just hold the red button down, you eventually go backwards--it's kind of fun to run a track backwards.

Another nifty idea is the car-tridge. This hotwheels car is pretty neat--just like a regular hotwheels car, but with a plastic peg plate that inserts into the controller. Depending on which car-tridge you have, your onscreen avatar car changes--hence mattel's rationale to sell multiple versions of this game. However, I think there is just a gimick--no car in the game performs any better than the other--they just look different.

There are also two game modes: race and story. Either of these are pretty much the same. The story mode allows you to race in the desert, jungle, air, track, etc. Nothing is much different except course layout and scenery, but all the same hazards are on each track: pits, rubble, dead ends, etc.

All in all, this was a nice try for Mattel to offer an inexpensive version of a driving game, but I'd pass on this. There's really nothing fun about this, and with the children in mind--they won't have the patience to wait out the load times of the game. Pros:inexpensive. Cons: graphics, load times, long installation, poor performance, no fun when all cars are the same except the look. If the point was to make an age appropriate game, perhaps this is it, but I'd just save the money to buy a more expensive platform: Playstation, Nintendo, Xbox, and get a game that will both be engaging and last the long haul as the kids get older. My kids like my PS2 more than this Hotwheels gaming controller.

I purchased this for my 3 yr old granddaughter to go with a vanity she has. Her favorite is the blow dryer that actually works and sounds like Mommy's blow dryer. I was dissappointed that the brushes are just hard plastic, but overall was pleased with the product.

REVIEWWell constructed
These type of puzzles are nice because the pieces do not get all bent up and ruined after multiple uses. Perfect for my almost 2 year old because it still offers a challenge, but isn't so challenging that she loses interest.
